Description
For the all the years that Amber has lived, she has never been able to please anyone no matter how hard she tried. She could never keep anyone by her side. It was either her foul mouth that spewed insults at others that made her repulsive or 'i don't give a ' attitude that had people running away. It was unintentional yet she couldn't help but be that.
At first it was a sort of defensive action. She didn't want to be hurt by others so she hurt them first. Her hurt was disguised under the wraps of anger and sarcasm. She acted like she didn't care if people walked away from her. She never stopped them no matter how much she wanted to. It was too much for her ego to ask.
So she preferred to be hurt and be looked upon as the cold hearted rather than being honest about her feelings and hurting her big fat ego. She didn't have many friends. Why would she? She was rude to be considered friendly by anyone.
She pushed people away and she had grown used to the feeling of loneliness. She wasn't true to herself so how could anyone expect her to be true to anyone? She had two faces. One that was her real one (which seemed to have gotten lost in time) and the one that everyone knew.
She knew how wrong she had been and how wrong she still was yet she had moved so far along that she found it impossible to turn back. So she walked forward with the same facade with no expectations of a better life.
But how wrong she was. No matter how bad a person was, there would always come a moment of redemption. It was upto the person to grab it.
Her redemption came in the form of Suho. A happy go lucky man who despite his young age had the knowledge far superior. He saw right through her facade and her inner turmoil drew him in. At first, he just wanted to help. He was too good for a person.
As time passed, love blossomed. But Amber had conflicting feelings. Her years of facade was slipping away and her vulnerability was being exposed by this man. Despite her many flaws he was ready to accept her. But with so many self inflicted scars in her life, she found herself unworthy of his love.
Will Amber go back to being how she had always been? Will Suho's attempts fail? Or Will Amber grab that one shot at redemption?
Foreword
I was watching some movies with heart wrenching love story and I couldn't help but wish to be able to write something similar. The kind of love story where you feel a kind of love and hate for the character for being the way he / she is.
For instance, in this story I have made Amber the kind of woman who doesn't want to try and change herself because she is too used to being the rude little no matter how different she is underneath. The stubborn human nature that fears change and sometimes loses that one step to happiness. And all you think about is how stupid that woman is to give up. But at the same time, everyone has this stubborness in them and you understand to some point why she does what she does. You could relate to her in ways and so you want a happy ending for her.
And there's Suho, who loves a woman who is too stubborn, who throws insults at people as easy as breathing, whose words have the potential to scar a person on a whole different level. No matter how many times she pushes him away, he keeps going back to her. We hate people who don't have enough self respect to know when to stop. Especially when he is being pushed far too many times. Yet we can't help but wish for someone like that, someone who would never give up no matter how much you push them away, someone who is there to pick up the fallen pieces and patch you back up.
Sometimes its in that holding onto someone when the world tells you to let go is when you finally get what you truly deserve. Sometimes, holding on even when its too painful to continue is when you are running towards your happiness.
