The Kiss
4 WeeksIt was a beautiful Sunday morning.
“Have you listened to every single record here?” Kuanlin heard Park Jihoon ask from inside the store.
Kuanlin was outside, putting up the recently-mailed posters on the windows.
“That's impossible. Even my old man would never be able to listen to all that.” Kuanlin answered, smiling to himself, thinking how nice it felt to have someone by his side, doing mundane things like manning the store.
Kuanlin went inside when he heard the phone ring.
“Notes and Harmony, may I help you?” He asked robotically, casting a sideways glance at Park Jihoon who was smiling at him from the aisle of Disco.
Kuanlin mirrored the smile automatically as he sat down the bar stool behind the check-out counter.
Park Jihoon proceeded to frolic, trying to distract Kuanlin from the conversation he was having with Mr. Kang, a bar owner and patron of the records store.
Kuanlin was gritting his teeth to stop himself from laughing at Park Jihoon’s antics who’s now imitating a baby dinosaur.
“Ku ku kaaa kaaaa” Park Jihoon drawled.
Kuanlin signalled for Park Jihoon to come closer as he continue to satiate Mr. Kang's inquiries.
“Will do, Mr. Kang. Bye now.” He put the phone down. Park Jihoon was slowly walking towards him with a mischievous smile on his face.
Kuanlin felt a bit more courageous and beckoned the smaller guy to ‘come hither’ with his finger.
