Jirin's dream has always been to be a top-notch detective to fight for justice for the weak and when she graduates top of her class, her teacher recommends her to enrol in the most elite private detective training academy in Seoul. However, she discovers to her dismay that there is a complete dearth of female trainees and finds that her small town dreams are dashed as she meets cold and strict instructors, competitive blue-blooded trainees and her principles being trodden over for the "greater good".

First Lieutenant - Hwang Minhyun
"You look good." I barely squeak out a whisper as I see Officer Hwang in a well-pressed tailored suit for the first time in my life, but he doesn't even so much as react at my words. "I don't care for such restrictive clothing, but for the undercover mission, we have to blend in. Go change now too, Trainee Shim." He hands me a parcel and I hurriedly head off to change, not wanting to slow down the fast pace he's used to. I glance at the mirror at my reflection, admiring the bright colours and fine details of the beautiful dress I'm adorning. I haven't worn anything but pants ever since I enrolled in this academy. I emerge from the changing room and Minhyun turns to me, suitcase and car key already in tow.
"This is perfect."
I stare back at him, my face reddening at the compliment as he gives my dress a glance-over. "T-thank- you." 
"Perfect undercover, noone will ever suspect you're an officer." Officer Hwang nods seriously, before turning away. "Drop-off point in 5 minutes, we have no time to waste."

Deputy Lieutenant: Ong Seungwu

Second-in-Command- Kang Daniel

I open the door thoughtlessly and nearly scream as I see a topless man on the bed and to my horror, I realise I'm in the wrong room. My room is 404... this is 403! And this man is...!?
"This place is full of young, virile men, so please be careful." Officer Kang gives me a meaningful smile and I'm suddenly reminded of all the topless bodies int the common room downstairs. He probably saw me earlier... but I have no choice... it's not my fault I'm only one of two girls in the entire academy. But I won't let any men get in my way of becoming a detective. I can't hide my intensely red face, but I bow as low as humanly possible in penchance for my wrongdoing and pray he doesn't reprimand me. 
"Thank you, I will, sir." He grins at my slightly strained voice. 
"Between you and I, you can call me Daniel. Or Daniel-oppa." He grins, giving me another wink and leaving me thoroughly flustered. "You may leave now, New Bird."
"New Bird...?" I blink back.
"Yeah, since you're so flighty." He chuckles. "Stop staring at me, Little Bird."
I sputter and fleed from the door, forgetting my manners and groaning to myself. Well whatever, at least he's nice. Little Bird it is.

Junior Lieutenant- Park Jihoon

"If you're tired, you can go to the Medical Office." Jihoon says with a gentle eye-smile and I feel relief flood over me. Finally an authority with a friendly face who was nice!
"Thank you." I smile back, making a mental note to myself to never doze off in training again.
He simply smiles back. "People without any motivation are just an eyesore, after all."
I blink.
Although he's speaking such crude, brutal words, the soft smile never leaves his face. He's so frightening... Smiling this whole time, yet his words are so scary!
"How did you get in here?" His angelic face and cheery beaming smile seems to be devoid of malice, but his words were anything but.
"Sorry?" I blinked, unsure of what to answer to his ambiguous question.
He looked at me from head to toe slowly. "Only the best get in here. Not even all the best get in here. So, missus, what did you do?" He wonders out loud innocently, but then I bristle as I realise what he is alluding to as I notice a sliver of a smirk on his face. "I look forward to... enjoying your performance in the academy. Annyeong." He winked before sauntering off, leaving me absolutely speechless at his rude and deragatory behaviour.

Fellow New Trainee- Bae Jinyoung

"Chief Hwang is really something. I always thought he's so quiet, but when he's going undercover for missions... he really knows how to work the room! And for me... I'm just a burden." I sigh, shaking my head.
"That's not true, everyone got here by their own merit." Jinyoung argues, then his face darkens. "I failed my first undercover mission. I didn't dare to talk to strangers."
I clap his shoulder encouragingly. "I nearly failed mine, if not for Chief Hwang covering me up-"
Jinyoung suddenly turns his head to me and I realise the distance between us is dangerously near. Has his face ever looked this big? Were his eyes ever this mellow? I freeze as my thoughts melt into a puddle.
"Do you have a crush on him or something?" he mutters, before turning away and getting to his feet. "Chief Hwang this, Chief Hwang that..."
