The Lahling Chronicles is a story of Gwen, Sierra, Tasha and Amanda, bestfriends from University. The four girls personified life support for each other as they move into adulthood, managing conflict with their men, making important life decisions and learning from mistakes they've made. They all have their share in love and loss, as they fall in and out of love with men that  brought joy and pain in their lives. The solidity of the friendship between the Lahlings would also tested as they try to protect each other from the pain of love and sometimes the crap that the men give them. The alternate ending for the Lahlings in this book would also not be clear at first, as you get to know the men that come by and test your patience :) Here's a lil write-up of the Lahlings, so you'll understand them a lil bit better:

• Sierra Sommers aka. Ira – Chaebol, only daughter of a chain of resorts. On the outside, she looks kyut and sweet but really she’s savage and witty. She attracts a lot of men but the one man she wants pays no attention to her. International Business graduate.
• Amanda Ryan aka. Mandy/Bammie – Next door girl, sarcastic, sassy and popular with the boys. Can be a little wild but really she has the heart of a saint. She's friendly with a lot of men but the one man who wants her cant get to her to settle down. Law and Commerce graduate.
• Tasha Williams aka. Tasha/Tee – Confident, mood-setter, y and the events planner. She only has eyes for one man. Before they separated, things between them were perfect. Almost too perfect, until another man came along, stole all inhibitions as she tries to save it for her first love. Fashion design graduate.
• Gwen Pears aka. Gwen – Athletic, swimmer and confused. Never had a boyfriend before. But when she got courted by one man, two other men come running. It started raining, then it continued pouring. Software Engineering graduate.
