“ you, Yul.”

“No, you. I’ve had enough of being played with, alright?” Yuri said calmly; albeit too calmly for anyone to think rationally. She didn’t have that familiar tender gaze she usually did when she talked to the ice princess like this. “Why can’t I hang out with my friends when you have extreme fun with yours?”

The flash of pain was visible to Yuri before Jessica blinked, and everything changed again. She thought she saw the heartbreaking sensation occuring in those chocolate brown eyes earlier, but Yuri should have known. Her only reason for perservering in this world was already gone, and her only reason for doing anything useful was also disappearing bit by bit - the one person who gave her the very reason to exist and excel was changing beyond recognition. There was absolutely no reason for Yuri to try anymore, only to end up looking like a fool. 

“I’m done, Sica.”

Jessica had her hair shielding her face all this time Yuri was speaking to her because she was trying to hide her tears, but it didn’t stop the pain in her chest either. A part of her wanted to let the black pearl go so the both of them could actually stop hurting each other but another part of her knew she'd die without the latter. Their relationship had become so toxic, and it was clearly going to get worse if something wasn't done about it.

It hurt. 

It was hurting so badly. 

What could she do now? 

That being said, Yuri grabbed her bag and put on her jacket; she couldn't stay here any longer or she'd end up giving in all over again - and the cycle continues. She had done this countless times; coming here to argue with Jessica and the night only resulted with the both of them waking up to each other in the morning. There would be a time where everything needed to stop and they seperated to move on with other people in their lives. It was a tiring cycle already, and Yuri was running out of time to prove her love to the latter.

Why should she anyway? 

Someone else is having fun playing with her heart as if it's a toy that's meant to be squeezed in order to release stress.
