Cold fingers
SR's Oneshot CollectionA short drabble of Eunbi annoying Yerin
“Stop.” Yerin swatted at the cold sensation on her neck. It disappeared for a few seconds before returning. Again, Yerin rubbed her neck and the sensation disappeared, only for it to return a few seconds later; this time on the other side of her neck. She squirmed and stopped walking, whipping around to face the culprit who had a mischevious grin across their lips.
“Hwang Eunbi.” Yerin deadpanned and the girl cackled. The pair had been walking around the mall to find entertainment since they didn’t want to stay home on a weekend. Since the mall’s air conditioning was colder than usual, Eunbi’s naturally cold fingers became even colder and she had been annoying Yerin with them for the past twenty minutes, brushing against the girl’s neck and ears.
“Yes?” Eunbi replied innocently. Yerin narrowed her eyes but said nothing. She began walking and Eunbi quickly followed along, falling into step beside the older girl. Eunbi left Yerin alone for a few minutes and they walked along in comfortable silence. Looking around at the shops, nothing really caught her eye. Having had lunch a little while ago, restaurants weren’t really appealing. Clothes? Her closet was pretty much full and she didn’t feel like buying any. Gift shops, cosmetics, glasses… nah.
Looking back at Yerin who was beginning to look a little bored, she slid her hand into Yerin’s. Rather than the annoyed response she was expecting to get, Yerin adjusted her grip so that Eunbi’s still cold fingers sat snugly between her warm ones. She was surprised, to say the least. Eunbi was all prepared to take off running before she gets a smack from Yerin but instead, her hand was now trapped in the older girl’s grasp. Not that she was complaining of course.
“How are you gonna disturb me now?” Yerin asked, looking over at Eunbi with a slight smirk. The latter looked away, feeling blood rush to her face. Yerin wasn’t done though.
“You’re flushed, I guess you don’t feel cold anymore,” she said and loosened her grip on Eunbi’s hand but the older girl held on. “Why? I thought you were warm enough.”
“Curse you Jung Yerin,” Eunbi muttered under her breath as she tightened her grip on Yerin’s hand. The older girl laughed and patted their interlocked hands with her free hand.
“Let’s go home? Or do you have anything else you want to do?” Yerin asked and Eunbi shook her head. With a ruffle of Eunbi’s hair and smack from the said girl, they made their way to their car.
