Description
phoenix—a creature that resembles the sun and belongs to the world of gods and goddesses—also refers to a queen of her king.
joo jieqiong was born into a wealthy family but even though her status was high, she was disrespected by everyone, even the family's maids. why? because she wasn't a real joo, she was just a mistake between her father and a gisaeng. her mother deceased when she was five years old and ever since, people had been treating her like air, as if she wasn't the third lady of the joo household. she was nagged at, being blamed for every mistake her other half-sisters caused. her life was a mess and she wanted to come with her mother but one day, a fortune teller told them that among the joo daughters, there was one who held the phoenix's fate in their palm. everyone thought it was either tzuyu or sejeong because to them, jieqiong never existed but jieqiong knew that the fortune teller was talking about her.
why? she had faith.

setting: the past, not joseon era but think like that if it's easier for you to understand! this is based on a chinese novel i read so the way i write, their clothes and palace is going to be quite different from joseon era. ( think of empress of china timeline )
