All Hikaru cares about is working hard to take care of himself; everything else in life he doesn't really have an interest in. He thinks that college is for people who think they're better than others, and dislikes everyone and everything on campus. Which is fine for Noa; she has a distaste for Hikaru, too. But chance encounter after chance encounter bring them in each other's paths time and time again; the only things left for them to do are either rip each other's throats out, or fall in love.
