"Miss me already?" Taehyung teased playfully, his red eyes glinting with amusement. "I thought you said you don't want to have anything to do with me. Changed your mind?"

Clenching her fists, Yoomi glared at him, feeling a flash of irritation. This won't work.

She badly wanted to turn on her heel and go out of the fast food restaurant right at that moment, but Jisoo nudged her side with her elbow, demanding her to answer. Jisoo's eyes seemed to be saying Well, go on. Do you want to lose your job? when Yoomi glanced at her. So she sighed and forced herself to proceed.

"No," Yoomi spoke through gritted teeth. "I still don't want to have anything to do with you." And she felt another nudge from Jisoo.

Taehyung leant his body against the counter, causing Yoomi to instinctively step back a step and bump into another customer behind her. She hastily turned her back and apologized. Chuckling, he seemed to find this amusing.

"So what brings you here?" He propped his elbow to support his head in one hand, a playful smile tugging on the corner of his lips.

Yoomi looked over her shoulder to see the long line of customers waiting behind her. "Don't you need to take orders?"

He uninterestedly shifted his gaze towards the queue of people and nonchalantly shrugged. "I do. But you need to answer my question first."

Yoomi hurriedly flashed him her ID card, wanting to get it over with. "I'm a peacekeeper from Shinsa Peacekeeping Bureau and I'm required to recruit you to help me do my work." She quickly added, "It's fine if you're not willing, I can-"

"I'll do it," he said immediately.

Having not expected him to accept the recruitment, she was bewildered. "What?"

"On one condition." His eyes suddenly glowed with excitement and his mouth formed a wide grin. "Tell me how these burgers taste like!"
