Welcome AFF Peeps! Lyn here, presenting you all – Spectacular Cupcake!

Look, I honestly don’t know why I decided to name it this way, but I like it! The word spectacular is certainly spectacular, and cupcakes are basically my favorite sweet treat, so there you have it. Anyway, here I am bringing to you all a place to come to where you can not only find free ideas that I will have the pleasure of putting out for you all – I dare you to take on the challenge to write these! – but also a heap load of other things as well. Don’t worry, I’ll explain everything as best as I can so you all get how things work.

IDEAS & PROMPTS

The basic and main reason for making this is the provide more ideas, prompts, and inspiration to all you peeps out there who want to write but can’t think of anything because you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place, aka, experiencing things like writer’s block, or, you may just have trouble being creative who knows. You should know though, that there are certain genres and elements that I’m leaning more towards here, plus how my writing mindset works.

When it comes to writing myself, I am someone who doesn’t really do oneshots or short stories, at least, in my head I don’t plan to. I am someone who favors long stories and thus aims to write out stories that are long as well, or at least come up with stories that can possibly be lengthy. So, when I put out some of these ideas I come up with, keep that in mind. You are of course allowed to take them and turn them into a length that you like and want! I’m just saying, with these ideas in mind that I’m processes, they most likely are leaning towards chaptered fics with a good sum of chapters – again, all up to you though. Another thing, I will be trying to list out ideas of all types, but as you can see by the tags, I do have preferences here with the ideas I’ll put out, aka, ones containing my favorite genres:

ACTION // ADVENTURE // COMEDY // FANTASY // FRIENDSHIP // SCI-FI // SUPERNATURAL

These are like my specialty when it comes to my own writing (and again, they’re my favorite ones), so these genres and elements relating to them are mainly the ones flowing around in my head, so it only makes sense to mostly put out ideas having to do with them. Although, just because this place will mainly feature ideas from me dealing with one or a few of these genre elements, that doesn’t mean others will pop up from time to time. I may also list off ideas for other things like FAMILY, MYSTERY, SCHOOL LIFE, SLICE OF LIFE, and possibly a few others, except for ROMANCE. I’m not much of a romance person when it comes to fanfics. I don’t mind it, and won’t lie by saying I want nothing to do with it, because I can enjoy it here and there, plus I do include some in some of my own stories as well. But, the point I’m trying to make here, is that Romance is not my focus, and is usually more like a side thing. You can include romance all you want when you take the idea, but when I put them out, I won’t be listing it and pointing it out amongst the plot description and whatnot or straight up writing out romantic based prompts. So, if that’s what you are here to look for, might want to go check some other idea place.

I also won’t include specific idols/characters when posting different ideas, or tell you what to do or how to go about things. I may leave a few suggestions, or say what I imagined I would do if I were writing it to help give you all a bit of insight of what I had in mind in case that may help, but once you see an idea that you like and want to use, it’s yours to do whatever you like with it. You can be inspired by it, use it exactly how it is, or come up with, add in, and remove whatever you want.

Also, all ideas are free to use! If there is one you see, but you see someone else has already decided to use it, that’s completely fine! Heck, combine a few of them together too if you want to! They will all be free and open for everybody and anyone to use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: By the way, some of these ideas that I’ll be putting out may be similar and resemble ideas of my own for ideas that I hope to put out in future stories. Just a reminder that, even though I’m putting out these ideas, they are mine and coming from me. I’m very happy to have many use them, since of course they’ll be the types of things I like and would enjoy to read (this is all just a secret ploy to get you to write what I like, lol, just kidding), but just know that I still have every right to make stories using them as well.

I’m not the only one allowed to give out story ideas here, for you all can do so too! If you want to that is. If you have some ideas as well, pliss go ahead and donate them here if you’d like. But make sure that the idea that you are donating out has something to do one of the seven main genres tagged, since, like I said, that is what I will mostly be providing here. If you have an idea that has nothing to do with any of them, then ask me about accepting it first, otherwise, I most likely won’t add it, especially if it is just plain out a Romance one.

If you wanna give away an idea here for someone else to possibly come along and grab, either post a comment (or send me a PM, whichever works best) explaining to me what it is about, what the genres/elements are, and any other important things you want me to make note of. These ideas are yours, so you can put limits and specifics like what characters and whatnot if you want, but it’d be cool if you just left it free and open for anybody to do whatever they please with it – I won’t force you though. And don’t worry, you will be credited.

ADVICE & TIPS

I’m not gonna come out here and say I am a goddess when it comes to writing, but still, I have been doing so for about seven to eight years now, so I hope I know my stuff lol. If you’re a newbie, or just anyone in general who would like some random help, advice, or tips on anything that has to do with writing, pliss go ahead and ask and I’ll try to answer any question or help out as best as I can. As a matter of fact, we can make it a big team effort and all of you can put out your own answers when someone asks something! I’ll post a chapter giving my thoughts on the question at hand – if the person is cool with that and is asking for help publicly and not just to me – and anybody else who would like to give their own thoughts can do so too! Just let me know somehow and I’ll add what you said, that way the person who was originally wondering, and others as well, can get a general idea of what a bunch of peeps think

Whether it be about how to go about a story, asking about points of views, which direction to take, how others go about things, anything writing related! If you’ve got a question, don’t be afraid to ask, cause the community is here!

CHARACTERS, SETTING, ETC.

This also kinda ties into the advice and tips part. If you have a story idea you wanna do, but are not sure about certain things like how to make your characters (appearances, personalities, names, etc.), what would be a good or cool setting, what type of powers could you give my characters if you’re doing a fantasy/supernatural fic, you can ask about that as well. If you're just stuck with with your story, hit this place up! Ya know, helping each other out with our stories to make good progress.

REQUEST A PROMPT

Last but not least, requests! This also has to play into me giving ideas for all of you to use, except it will be just for only one specific person, and that is the one who requests. If you want to straight up ask me to try and come up with an idea/prompt/plot line for you from scratch, I can do that. Just know that I can’t always come up with ideas with the swiftness. It might take me some time, so pliss do be patient. Continuing with this, if you have set requirements, like say, requesting for me to come up with a Fantasy story starring Vixx and blah blah blah for example, then that is acceptable too. Or if you want me to look at something, listening to something, or check a picture or whatever and come up with an idea based around that, that is also fine.

Anyway, I believe that’s about all I’ve got to say! If you have any questions, are confused or wondering something else, pliss let me know and I’ll do my best to aid you. Also, if anybody has any suggestions for more that we can do with this, don’t be shy to word it out. I want this place to be a nice place were anyone in the community can come to get ideas, as well as words of advice to help out with their stories.

I can’t really force you I guess, but it would be really cool if you would credit this place whenever you put out a story using one of the ideas. Don’t have to subscribe or upvote, just give a small shoutout and that’s it. That way more peeps will know about it, and we can spread more fanfic love and whatnot.

[UPDATE NOTE || September 17, 2016] Not only will I be adding in genre and element based idea stuff, but writing out chapters for all types of information and other stuff that I think could help out, from my own thoughts and observations. Basically things brought up above like characters and all that type of topics that makes up the other parts of the story process along with things I see other peeps talk about and discuss when scoping out the social section - just wanting to give my own two cents in hopes to give you all a better understand of something or another point of view on the matter. Also, if you want, you can request for me to tackle a topic in a chapter like I've been doing and will be doing. For example, how I made the list of work places and supernatural creatures. If you have something like that, I can try and cover it for you. All in all, this place will still always be a place to come to for ideas, inspiraction, and advice.
