Oh Medical Center Hospital
"I don’t believe it."
Luhan couldn't believe his eyes.
“I did it...”
As a kid, Luhan loves the thrill of helping people and made it his mission to work in the medical field. He worked hard, excelled his classes with flying colors, and graduated high school at the top of his class a year early. Being the intelligent child he is, Luhan graduated medical school within 2 years and started working for local Beijing Province Hospital at 20.
8 years of hardship at the Chinese hospital paid off.
The brunet had to reread the piece of cream cardstock five times in order for the gears in his brain to process the printed words.
Oh. My. God.
He is going to his dream hospital within a week.
“I ing did it!”
“Ma!” he squeals, scrambling out of his room to find his parents. “Ba!”
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lu gave each other an amused look as their son bounces down the stairs with a grin plastered on his face. With a grin on her face, Mama Lu placed down a plateful of cookies on the table and ushered Luhan over to them. Papa Lu placed down his book and smiled.
"Ma! Ba!"
"What is it, Han-Han?”
“I am transferring to my dream hospital in South Korea!”
As expected, Luhan was smothered with love and kisses and happy tears.
“Oh, that's amazing, Han-Han!”
“Dinner's on us, Xiao Lu!”
The merry moment stopped short, and Luhan couldn't help but feel guilt creeping up his heart. He didn't want to leave his parents here in Beijing. They sacrificed so much for him, and he wants to make it up to them. Mrs. Lu felt her son’s distress and hugged him tighter, her husband wrapped around the both of them.
“Xiao Lu,” she coaxed, placing her chin on top of her son’s head. “Ma and Ba will be fine. We can always visit you. There's no need to worry, Xiao Lu.”
“But Ma…”
She pulled away with determination and forced Luhan to look at them.
“No more crying, Xiao Lu,” Mama Lu chided. “Or else no man will look at your ugly crying face.”
Luhan felt his face heat up at his mother's sudden declaration on his ual orientation and gave his mom an embarrassed look. “Ma!”
Mama Lu laughed wholeheartedly, Papa Lu shaking his head at the amusing scene.
"You're unbelievable, Li Hua," Papa Lu remarked, hugging his cheery wife.
"You too, Huang Fu."
“You guys are—ugh!”
“We love you too, Xiao Lu!”
