The Great Pretender

Description

"There's a new guy in class. He's tall, quiet, and mostly keeps to himself. I don't think he's even trying to make any friends."

Jiho feels like the new boy in his class just needs to be given a chance and a helping hand. Without a second thought, he decides to try befriending him, being almost the same height he'd figured that it would help shake off the other's insecurities.

Slowly, he gets him to open up a bit, but he's not the greatest at expressing himself.

He also doesn't seem to be very 'normal', but that could just be because he doesn't socialize much.

Foreword

As the teacher introduce the new student into their class, Jiho looked over the young man, he was was more cold than nervous, as though he didn't want to be there. Mentally, he laughed, 'welcome to your senior year at a new school. Nobody else wants to be here.'

His face burned as their eyes made contact, those eyes just seemed to burn into him. Shivering slightly, he adverted his eyes. He knew he didn't speak out loud, but the other looked at him as if he had heard him. He tried to shake the feeling, maybe it was his expression that gave him away. What did those eyes even say in returns as they drew him in. Glancing back up he noticed the other looking down at him, he would've jump if he hadn't been caught in those eyes again. In what seemed like forever was merely a few seconds as the taller man sat down next to him.

'This is going to be a long year,' Jiho thought, his heart racing and face still burning. 'What the hell is this feeling?"
