Description

Every ten years, our Queen would send hundreds of us down to the mortal world, better known as earth. Each of us to different part of the world with Seoul, well known among us as the worst of the hundred available. Dozens of us, over the past years who had been sent to Seoul, named Seoul as the worst. None of them succeed in having mutual feelings. Everyone were sent back and were locked up in the sky’s prison. Some of them even said that they preferred to be locked in than to complete the task. It was told that, the chosen one was either utterly ugly, disgusting, old or abusive. And, you’re right. Our kingdom, are all females. That was probably why some of them refer to men as ‘disgusting’. Maybe, men don’t have the same habit as us.

I thought luck was on my side when I was called up to collect an envelope to get where I’ll be sent to and my new name. Unfortunately, I was wrong about it. Of the hundreds available, I was sent down to Seoul. Just as I thought it couldn’t be any worst, the entire room were filled with laughter and reliefs.

“Seems like no one really wants to go to Seoul.” She mumbled softly.

“Jiae. Song Jiae. This will be your name.” Said the Queen’s servant.

“Got it.” She said, taking her name down before leaving the room.

“Jiae,” The Queen called out with everyone staring their way.

“Seoul wouldn’t be as bad as what other people said. I can promise that.”

Hey guys! I'm back with a new fanfic, I'm supposed to post this on Jungkook's birthday but I guess I missed it by a few minutes! I were so busy lately that some of my other fanfic haven't been updated for over a year? I'm  so sorry! I promise I'll complete my last Junhoe fanfic :) Enjoy reading this! I had a lot of fun writing this entire fanfic out ^_^

Foreword

Opening her eyes, she darted her eyes around in hope to find something familiar however, none of them were, except her own clothes and her bedsheets remained.

Then, a lady came into the room.

“Oh, you’re awake!” The older woman called out as a smile spread across her face.

“Unnie?!” Shocked, she hopped out of her bed before hugging her tightly.

“I thought you were locked in the sky’s prison? Why are you here?” Couldn’t hide her excitement.

“Right, I just remember I have to explain this to you.” The older one replied, guiding Jiae back to her bed as the both of them sat by the edge of the bed.

“By the way, where are all your stuff?” Mirae, the older woman, asked with a questioning eye brow.

“I don’t know? I fell asleep and ended waking up here. It’s probably still morning while everyone is chanting that they didn’t go to Seoul.” She answered sourly.

“Oh, come on honey, Seoul aren’t as bad as what other people said!” She could see Mirae’s eye sparkle the moment she talked about Seoul.

“Aren’t you being sent back because of an abusive chosen one? Everyone were talking about it when you came back with wounds all over you.”

“Little one, that’s not true. Not every time what you see is what it is.” Mirae, with a few octave lowers, replied to the younger’s question. It was as though she had hurt her feeling by saying that.

“I’m sorry if I said something I shouldn’t.” Apologising, she saw a tear rolled down Mirae’s cheeks.

“I’m fine… it’s just…”

60 years ago, Mirae was sent down to Seoul, which was then already known as the worst available. To make it worst, her chosen one was from a gang. Without thinking twice, she went straight to the place thinking to just finish her task and be a mortal so she won’t be sent to the sky’s prison.

Little did she know, her chosen was nothing but sweet towards her. She never saw that coming. He was even a handsome man. But, they never confessed to one another. They had a mutual feeling to one another. Love. Unfortunately, the both were too scared to confess, afraid of losing the other one if the other didn’t return the same feeling.

It was not until 5 years later they have a child. They lived a steady live but nothing last forever. She has her deadline and he have a fatal and unstoppable accident waiting for him.

The both parted ways with Mirae returning to her empire and her chosen one died in the accident. Their son was only a year old back then.

“I’m sorry I have to hear this from you.” Jiae replied, yet apologetically. Just, how many time does she have to hurt her feelings in a day?

“No honey, I’m okay now. It felt relieving sharing this with you.” The older woman smiled with eye wrinkles forming around her eyes.

“Now, back to business.” Wiping the smile away from her face, a smirk was then replaced. “You’re marrying my grandson.”

As if she hadn’t had enough for today, her eyes widen with her jaw hanging.

“What? You have a grandson? How is that? With this face?” She asked, pointing at the said woman’s face in her mid-40s.

“You should be thanking me for this arranged marriage. This way, you wouldn’t have to search Seoul thoroughly for your chosen one. I brought him to you.”

She does have a point. If she were to find her chosen one all by herself, she would have to spend several years on it and by then, her deadline might already be up and she would be locked up in the prison.

“Plus, arranged marriage is easier for a man to fall in love.” Mirae teased as she checked Jiae out entirely.

“Because you have a body that no man could resist. Plus, you’re a . It’s a total bonus for that boy.” Mirae stated the fact out pinking Jiae’s cheek. How can she state out those stuff so carelessly?

“Don’t be shy.” Mirae said, realizing how pink Jiae looked before her eyes. “I’m taking a role of your mom anyways.”

“Really? That’s new. We don’t even have mom or dad back there.” Jiae replied, a little too happy about her having a mom.

They studied about the mortal back in the empire. There, they learned that the mortal has parents, siblings and every other stuff that they don’t have. Being the god of love, none of them experienced love and that was why the queen made this entire mission up. To make them feel love and warmth.

“Yes, and from now on, I would appreciate if you call me by the title ‘mom’.” Mirae said, smiling from ear to ear.

“Come here my daughter.” She called out with her arms spread apart welcoming Jiae into her warmth.

Without hesitation, Jiae slide forward into the older woman’s embrace.

“I had always wanted to feel what motherhood is like. I never have the chance to take care of my only child.”

“It’s okay mom. I may not be your son, your only child. But I promise I can let you experience motherhood.” Jiae whispered, patting onto her new mom’s back.

“Oh and, Jiae my honey. Did you forgotten to read the instructions on the piece of paper they handed to you?”

“Why?”

“You’re supposed to leave all the stuff that you needed to take to the mortal world on the bed. Your bed itself is a transport to the mortal world.”
