Foreword
"How long are you gonna keep this going?!", her voice resonated across the room.
Wendy scrunched her eyebrows, deep in confusion. She had every reason to leave Irene, but she couldn't. Not after all the two has gone through. Not after Wendy has come to terms with the fact that she wants to grow old with Irene. Not after Wendy has fallen too deep for the latter.
How do you throw away someone whom you consider your world?
"I can't leave her, Joy. You know that i can't. I love her.", Wendy lamented.
"Then what about me? We're soulmates for ing sake. You're supposed to love me. Not Irene."
Joy was fuming. She was frustrated.
Why wasn't she good enough? Why couldn't Wendy just love her like how soulmates should love each other? Why not her?
Wendy headed towards the door.
"The government chose you and i as soulmates. But i didn't. I chose Irene, and i will always choose her."
