JIN SENDS REMINDER // NOTES.

o this is made purely for the sake of looking for good stories with good storylines that would interest readers (mainly me HAHA)
o you can enter as many times as you want, though I'd prefer if you could put all your heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears into writing one freaking awesome one, than try and participate in all prompts
o getting a poster/background or trailer for your story will not affect your ratings at all, though the effort is very much appreciated
o the use of beta-readers are encouraged if you know for sure that you have terrible grammar/sentence structure, though not compulsory
o you can submit a storylink with just a foreword first to get me excited for your story, before completing the story afterwards when you have the time

RAP MONSTER SETS THE STANDARD // CRITERIA.

o all stories should be between 3 000 words to 10 000 words
o all stories should be one-shots (strictly no two-shots or three-shots)
o all stories should be dark/angst/sad in some way, preferably emotionally
o all stories are to be written in first person ("I" sentences)
o all stories are to be written specially for this contest (though not needed to be credited in the foreword)
o all stories are to focus on the main character only (all other characters should remain anonymous as much as possible)
o all stories' main character should remain "genderless" (could be imagined as both a girl and a guy)

o I hope the people joining this writing contest is just purely for the sake of writing good stories with good storylines instead of "monetary" gains
o though if won, you'll get to have your one-shot published into a visual novel
o if you are not interested in having your one-shot made into a visual novel at all, please do state beforehand

o a visual novel is where the story will be presented with images and music, so the story kind of comes to life
o the visual novel will be released for free for everyone to play and enjoy
o you will be credited as the story's author of course
o all the art/music assets will be provided

JIMIN PROVIDES HELP // CHEATSHEET.

o have the story convey the same feeling to me as when I was listening to the song
o have the main character be remotely referenced to as the prompt's singer
o am looking for something that's kind of figurative or metaphorical
o go into dark topics without directly mentioning it
o have foreshadowing (I love it, a lot)
o look at the prompt's lyrics
o torture my poor heart
o make me cry
o think deep

o write
o HAHAH sorry, I'm mean
o allow the ending to be as realistic as possible (though I do like "happy" endings, I do not actually enjoy "fairytale" endings. You can have the character die, and still consider it as a "happy" ending, it all depends on how you do it, really)
