Inhae tried to forget about Jongin. She really did. But it was hard when she was still in the same class as his on her second year of high school. And to make it worse, Jaekyung was also in the same class.

Thank god Seulgi was also in the same class or Inhae would be crazy trying to deal with her feelings all alone. At least her friend was there to take her attention from it.

It was big news that Jaekyung and Jongin had split up but Inhae doubted it – because they still seemed close with each other, talking and laughing. She didn’t want to admit, but yeah – she was jealous and hoped the rumor was true.

Jongdae had changed school, Inhae cursed when she knows that because that brat still didn’t buy her a new mirror.

She got new friends, Hyeri who just wanted nothing but to sleep and Mina who just proclaimed that Sehun had a crush on her.

Sehun, Jongin’s friend. Handsome. Popular.

That’s all Inhae could describe him. They hadn’t really talked and even if they should be talking, like in an assignment or anything, he rarely opened his mouth – he was the shy kid in the class. Shy, but hot.

And Inhae really doubted that he had a crush on Mina, because why would someone from that popular clique like someone from their groups?

She just wanted to grimace whenever Mina commented that Sehun was glancing at their way or just looking at her.

Seulgi wasn’t really helping, and just hyping the poor girl but whenever Mina wasn’t there, the girl would just said, “Sehun doesn’t like her. I know.”

Inhae had asked how did she knew and her friend just rolled her eyes.

“I’m Seulgi. I know about everyone and I kinda ask Sehun on facebook. He laughed, and said no.”

Inhae had nodded.

“But it was weird though, because he always had his eyes on our group. I noticed that, because we’re the only clique that gathered up at the corner of the class.”

“Maybe we’re so loud that he couldn’t help but to stare?” Inhae shrugged.

“Don’t know. Maybe.”

Mina tried to take the matters to her hands, of course – he asked Jongin about it to which the guy just laughed out loud.

“What the hell? How did you get that idea?” he snorted.

Mina had pouted of course. “Because I always saw him staring at me.”

He rolled his eyes. “He doesn’t like you. If he did, I would know, heck our clique would know.”

Inhae didn’t forget the disappointed look on Mina afterwards.

“Great, now his clique would think I’m this weird fan girl that obsessed with his friend. Just let the ground swallow me please.”

“I don’t think Jongin would tell anyone though.”

“Jokes on you, he already did. I could feel the judging stares from them already.”

Inhae didn’t know why Mina was so dramatic because Jongin’s clique would stare at her too, but she didn’t say anything about it.

Chapter 21: All along the chapters, it seemed like Jongin likes her?? But maybe he thought she didn't like him or something? It's really mysterious because his friends seemed to know, or it could be that Sehun also likes her? Damn hahahaha. But unrequited love is really hurt, but she seemed happy and more lively now. Hopefully she'll find someone.

Chapter 21: This is the first character that ever feel so close to me. I am exactly in the same situations like her. So the lesson I learned here, is not being too hard on yourself. I need to accept that he will always be in my heart but not in my life. Thank you for the great story.

Chapter 21: PS: I had no idea Jongin would be a perfect character for a high school crush slash heartbreak. But you have written him so nicely that I felt I had a crush on him too xD

I love this fic, author, thank you so much!

Chapter 21: That being said, I miss them so much... They were so cute despite him being a jerk. Isn't that what we all wish though? That somehow the "bad boy" would soften at the girl? Okay maybe not everyone's wish, but I am a er for that!

All in all I really loved this fic. I'll probably read it again when I want to have butterflies in my stomach. It was bittersweet and although the storyline was simple, all emotions were raw and real. It goes to show that even though High School seems like a moment we'll forget because most of us have been young and did crazy stuff, an age where we don't really know anything, I also think it has shaped Inhae beautifully. She turned from bumbling shy girl to an amazing woman.

Also this fic reminds me of a Thai movie called, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" Both are sooooo beautiful and all the characters are just amazing in their own ways.

I'm honestly going to miss Jongin and Inhae so much >.< Here is to High School crushes that broke our hearts!

Chapter 21: As for Jongin, well, WOW. I do have a lot to say. If I'm gonna be honest, I don't think he ever liked her at all. Sometimes love makes us look through life in pink tinted shades that we don't get to see the true colors of it anymore, unless we actually look hard enough. Perhaps his actions, their small interactions, and even his behavior was interprered differently by Inhae. I mean, she liked him, and its totally naturally to make 100 out of a 0 when it comes to the people we like. Its natural. She wont be able to help it.

Seeing as we only saw this from Inhae's POV tho, my interpretation of it was that those moments didn't mean MUCH to Jongin. Not to say that he didn't care about her, because I'm sure he did, perhaps just not as the same level as her. Like he looked for her, he acted weird around her, and sometimes his words, paired with his behavior, just seems way too intentional to be called a coincidence. I think he may have liked her, probably found her cute or still had the flurries of a childhood crush, but nothing too serious. Like, he has a girlfriend. It could be that he really liked his gf or he dated her to up his image and to feel like he got the prettiest girl. You know, typical teenage boy in high school

Chapter 21: I'm just...I'm sad? But I'm also...happy because Inhae is happy now. Like if we look back in her youth that was mostly Jongin days, she lost the energy to study hard and looked down on herself a lot. She had a lot of fears, hesitation, compared herself often to other girls, and she wasn't confident.

I really REALLY wanted them to be together, that much has not changed a bit, but the ending seems like it would be the best for Inhae. In a way I'm glad that she never knew his answer and assumed things herself, because Seulgi is right, she's a totally different person now. Inhae is happy, she's confident, and she is shining like a star. I am so proud of her and how far she's come. It wasn't easy for her but she pushed through and I'm so glad she's in a much better place now

I hope Jongin remains a beautiful memory to her, even if she lost him
