“Damn it.” He hailed another cab to Chaeyeon’s place. He didn’t like the look in her eyes. It was... the look that Chaeyeon never gave to him. It haunt him like nightmare.

Meanwhile Chaeyeon, after she cried her heart out, even the cab’s driver was giving her sympathized look, finally calmed down. She felt her phone vibrating inside her handbag. But she chose to ignore it. She knew it was Sehun. And she is still pissed on what he did tonight.

The cab finally stopped right in front of her small place. After she paid the driver, she walked to her home soulless. Another fight happened tonight between her and Sehun. Usually she could handle it. But tonight, he was just too much.

She jumped in surprise when she caught someone sat on the step in front of her door. He looked in the deep thought. She looked at her wristwatch that unfortunately it was the watch that Sehun brought for her after his trip from Paris months ago. It just reminded her about their fight tonight and it made her pissed even more. It’s been 10.03 pm. What did he do here? In the middle of winter. Oh my God! Chaeyeon slapped her forehead when she just realized this is so freaking cold. She rushed toward the figure in front of her door. He might get sick next day!

“Wook-ah! What are you doing here?” The boy looked up to see her. He was, Lee Chanwook, her little younger brother who actually not supposed to be here right now. And he was freezing. “Ya! This is so late. And cold. And—Gah! Are you out of your mind?! Why you didn’t call me that you are waiting in front of the door?” She smacked his shoulder hard before she put her thick jacket on to the boy. She rubbed his upper arms in concern. “Look. You are freezing. Let’s get you something warm. Get in.”

“Where is your key anyway? And what you did until this late?”

Just when she was about to unlock the door, someone grab her arm, make the two’s head shift to the angry yet expressionless Sehun. She gently put his hand off and then continue to unlock the door. She opened the door to get Chanwook inside. But the younger, who felt the tension, felt like he need to protect his older sister by staying near Chaeyeon.

“Get in Wook-ah and wait for me inside. I will get in soon and make something warm for you.”

“But—”

“Just get in. Now.”

The boy didn’t say anything after that. He chose to give up and avoid any argument right now because all he wanted is something warm. He went inside their home while his eyes still fixed on Sehun, like he had thrown dagger toward the older man. He felt like he need to protect Chaeyeon because he knew well, whatever happen between the two, it must be Sehun’s fault and in the end, his sister would be the one who got hurt. She would cry and then she would act like nothing happened the next morning even though he knew well that his sister was only hiding it. He didn’t like when the couple is in argument. He didn’t like it when his sister got hurt.

After Chanwook went in, leaving the couple alone in front of the door, the two were standing in silent. Both of them were busy with their own mind. Sehun with his anxiety that Chaeyeon will leaving him and Chaeyeon who struggling to calm her anger.

About a minute later, it is Chaeyeon who broke the tension first. She only wanted to get inside quickly and cooked something warm. And then she would called it night because today is a long day for her and tomorrow will be rougher than today.

“Before you think something worst like leaving you. Not yet, Oh Sehun. I’m not leaving you yet.” not yet. Those words were ringing loudly inside his head.
