Description

Triplet sisters Bailey, Blair, and Chloe have grown up in Poughkeepsie, NY most of their lives with their Korean-American Mother. After their father walked out on their family, their mother moved them from Seoul, South Korea and became a successful lawyer. Their older brothers Kisoon, an up-and-coming lawyer working out of Seoul, and Jinsoon, a gym owner, and kickboxer are nineteen and seventeen years older than them and seem to live completely separate and practical lives. Especially compared to the sister's dreams of becoming a K-Rock band in South Korea. But, after a huge breakthrough on their youtube channel that lands them a gig at K-Con 2015, the girls are now flying to Seoul in hopes of signing a record label with AOMG entertainment.

Foreword

Vlog #159 Jan. 10, 2016

*"Hey, guys! Against The Current here with some crazy news." Chloe grins into the camera, "So, after K-Con 2015, we received several offers from different companies wanting to sign us. As most of you know, we declined all of the offers, choosing to finish our education in America before we really focused on our music career."

Blair leans forward, blocking Chloe from the camera, "We're high school graduates b-t-doubs!" Chloe and Bailey shove her to the floor, causing the camera to shake. "Hey!"

"Anyways, as I was saying. You may notice that we aren't in our usual vlogging location... That's because we are currently in our new apartment here in Seoul, South Korea!" Chloe flinging her arms out. Bailey grunts from being hit in the chest by Chloe's flailing limbs.

"We can't tell you too much, but we can say that we are in the process of becoming South Korean citizens," Bailey says. Chloe and Blair, who is now back on the couch nod their heads.

"Oh, and we're also signed with AOMG entertainment! BYYYYEEE!" Blair blurts out, and the screen cuts into the outro after Blair attempts to eat the camera.*

- Chloe POV -

"Yeah, Jay, the video's ready to be posted." Our new manager, Kim Seoljin, is speaking to the Jay Park, our boss basically. "It's subbed and everything, has links, and the girls' channel is now linked with LEON entertainment." He nods his head to whatever Jay is saying. "Yes, the official twitter, Instagram, and V app accounts will be posted along with the video, their links are already added to the video description."

"Clover!" I turn to see my older triplet sisters, Bailey and Blair wave me over, Blair has her phone out and ready to take a selfie with her identical twin. I wiggle myself in between them and smile widely so that my dimples really show in the picture. I was the only one of the three of us to get dimples like our older brothers. However, I am the only one of five children to be under six foot, well under. Both our brothers are above six foot, and of course, my sisters who I shared a womb with for nine months are also six foot. Completely unfair. Even Mom is taller than me by almost a foot. I watch as the bunny filter scans our faces for Blair's snap. She quickly types something before she adds it to our band's Snapchat story.

"How long before they clear out the staff and equipment so we can finish unpacking?" Bailey asks me in English as we watch the coordinators and managers move about the small apartment. I shrug before approaching Seoljin. He's pocketing his phone when I tap on his shoulder. The bulky man turns to me and gives me a smile.

"Ah, Seoljin Oppa, how long before everyone clears out?" I ask politely. We had only just met him and the three other managers today, but he was the head manager.

"Oh, they'll be out in twenty minutes. Minseok-ah and I will be down the hall to your right in our apartment, and Minsoo Noona and Aejin-ah are next door if you need anything, okay?" I nodded and bowed to him before returning to my sisters' sides.

"Catch that?" I ask Bailey who nodded. She was sitting on the low couch with her beloved bass, absentmindedly playing the bass line to one of our new songs that we'll be releasing soon. I plop down beside her and lean my head on her shoulder.

"Can you believe this!" Blair comes barrelling into the living area waving her phone excitedly. "LOOK!" She squeals as she shoves her phone into my face. "BTS official just liked our tweet about the video!" I sat up, pushing her off of me.

"Really!" Bailey says leaning forward, too. "What's it say, Chlo?"

I read Bailey's tweet out loud then I stop. "They retweeted it." I look up, my eyes wide. "They retweeted our tweet."

"Oh my God!" Blair commences to freaking out. "BTS, the BTS has retweeted our tweet!" She begins to ramble off in a mix of Korean and English as she paces the length of our living room, which is about the length of two of me. Bailey and I just stare at the screen, refreshing it as more and more retweets and likes amount.

"It's 3, guys!" Bailey gasps, pointing at the time on Blair's phone. "The video's going up." I toss Blair her phone and pull mine out. I open up our youtube account and we watch, anticipating. I wait for a few minutes then I refresh the page and nearly choke.

"Holy , it has ten thousand views already." The number wasn't all that surprising, seeing as we have over hundred thousand subscribers, but the video has been up for two minutes.

"No way." Bailey shakes her head in disbelief. We stare at our phones as comments come pouring in. Most are good, and a handful are just hate, which are automatically censored.

"I'm calling Jinsoon," Blair says as she's already putting her phone to her ear. I ignore her as she talks excitedly in Korean to our second oldest brother. I just sit and watch as our fans and Armies interact in the comment section of our latest video, theorizing why BTS retweeted our tweet specifically for this video, if there would be another collab between ATC and BTS or if it was just a coincidence. I couldn't help but wonder why BTS had retweeted it as well. We hadn't really contacted them or BigHit since Jungkook collabed with us for our Gravity Ep in 2015. It was probably just a coincidence.

"This is a pretty good start to our journey." Bailey chuckles as she leans back, resuming her bass playing. "What a day."

"No kidding," Blair says as she worms her way beside me. I smile at my sisters and lean back, listening to the cheerful banter between the twins as I dream about the future.

---------

Hey, guys! Quick info that is important to the story. These OCs are based on the actual band Against the Current, check them out, they are freaking amazing. I will be using the singles, eps, and albums that the real ATC has released, and the basic journey of their actual career growth. Also, these girls are also based on actual cousins of mine who are a triplet set with a fraternal sister and identical brothers, which we all call the boys the twins because they are identical twins and their older triplet sister is like half their size, it's hilarious. I originally had the girls signing with BigHit but then recently I learned that BigHit apparently doesn't take female trainees??? IDK if that is true, or if there is more to that, but I decided that AOMG would have been a better fit anyway because the girls are Korean Americans, and while they did live their early childhood in Seoul, and often visited South Korea, they did spend a majority of their lives in America, and the American schooling system. There will be more back story on them later, but for now, that's all! I don't have any couples planned, but things can be arranged.

Also, any text in italics indicates that the person is speaking in ENGLISH, since the girls are in Korea they will be speaking Korean for a majority of the story unless I say otherwise in AN.

A quick disclaimer! I do not own any characters based on real people. I do NOT know all of the details of how these companies work, how music is produced, how the stages are worked behind the scene, I'm just doing my best. This is a work of FICTION.
