I'm situated at the furthest desk next to the floor to ceiling window pane with the best view of SU's campus from this art studio. I love how the gold of the sun's rays’ flickers across the manicured lawns and against the cement of the sidewalks. I watch as students bustle below, and I allow my hand to scribble across the sketchpad in my lap as an old nineties tune blasts through my earbuds.

It's days like this that I enjoy being in the studio of the school instead of my own apartment although I much prefer the comforts of it.

Professor Ahn is standing across the room, a small smirk plastered on her face as she looks from student to student with a sense of motherly accomplishment. As if she crafted us all into better artists all on her own and not by our own willpower to become better. I'd give the lady credit where it's due because she has inspired me in more ways than one. I rarely find myself sketching but here I am, doing just that and allowing myself to be opened to a different avenue of expressing my art.
