Shih hye is an orphan who's parents left her in the doors of a caretaker. Ever since then she has been under the care of foster home. Shin hye is very sensitive and sweet child. Never have she asked for anything nor they could offer her anything. She'd see many orphan kids get adopted and taken away by people whom they would call a family. shin hye  was too young to understand what is a family but she needed one. She was an orphan until she turned six. On the other hand  Min ho lost his mother when he was 14 . It made him very sad and lonely, after all he really loved his mother. Min ho's father who loved his wife a lot on loosing her be went under depression. And out of depression, drowned himself in work. But he was still aware of the suffer his son was going through which made him worried . He knew he cannot give him time. So he came up with an idea. He decided to adopt a girl, since min Ho's mother was already planning on adopting one. Now that his mother is no more why not fulfill her last wish and that will also keep lonely min ho Happy.  By this min ho will have some one by his side. Someone for him to look after and divert his attention.

So he takes min ho to a foster home where he asks min ho to choose any girl he wants. Min ho starts looking around, and saw all sort of children. Some looked meany some looked bossy and other gloomy. He kept looking for his perfect sister until his eyes fell on a particular girl. He looks through the window and sees little girl trying to pluck a flower from a tree, but because she is too small she couldn't reach it. But that didn't stop her from trying. She keeps jumping trying her luck and suddenly she reaches up to the flower and plucks it. She then turns her head and sees a big boy carrying her up by her waist. The boy puts her down and then runs to his father. Min ho tells his father that he wants that girl. he points his fingers at the little girl. And the caretaker smiles and tells them her name is Park shin hye!. Min Ho's father tells them they will come and get her on this weekend but min ho cuts him off and says he wants to take her now. His father who never said no to him does not protest to his son and quickly asks them for to prepare the adoption papers. Min ho looks back and starts to panic as the shin hye was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly he saw his father coming towards his direction with a crying shin hye in his arms. He kept comforting her like a mother. Shin hye didn't understand why she had to leave her home. Min Ho's father have promised to take care of shin hye as their own, because he was an orphan too. So he knows the pain. He walks up to min ho and min ho insists to hold shin hye. His father is a little hesitant but anyways hands her to him carefully. 

Min ho took her from his father and patted her back. And she stopped crying. He kissed her cheeks and sat in the car and left.  Ever since then shin hye started living with them.
