Seung Ho sighed as he signed the last of the contracts for CFs and one MV that CEO Kim has persuaded him to accept.  Since Ruler filming ended, Seung Ho has been busy filming CFs and preparing for his fan meetings.  And there are more to be done.  It did not look like he will get a chance to go on a vacation.  His CEO reminds him that with the success of his recent drama, he needs to maintain his presence.  Strike while the iron is hot was his CEO’s current mantra. Seung Ho grimaced but understood it. 

He was seated reading the internet news while waiting for the filming set for his CF to be ready when he received a message from L in the group chat for the four leads in Ruler, asking for a dinner meet.  Seung Ho rarely attend post drama/movie group dinners of his previous shows.  But, he did miss this particular cast a lot more.  It would also be an opportunity to see Sohyun again.

          Hi Chingudeul, how are you all doing?  Busy busy I’m sure.  Any chance to catch up over dinner one of these days?

Hi Myungsoo, that sounds good.  Just us four or with the other casts?

We’ll ask the other casts, but I thought I check among us first.  We settle on a date and then invite the rest.  How about that?

Sounds good.  Count me in.  I’m in the middle of something, will check back.

Let’s wait for Sohyun’s reply.

“Seung Ho, we are ready. Could you come over and stand next to the sofa?  We will check on the lighting first”, PD of the CF called out to Seung ho. 

Three hours later, filming for the CF ended.  Seung Ho walked off the set and ask Manager Lee if he has anything else.  Manager Lee confirmed that he is done for the day.  Seung Ho picked up his phone and checked his messages.  He felt disappointed to see that Sohyun has yet to reply.  He is tempted to call Sohyun directly and ask but decided against it as it may seem pushy.  Getting the car keys from Manager Lee, he said his goodbye to everyone on the set.

Seung Ho drove himself home, took a shower and ate a quick dinner of kimchi fried rice with some side dishes that his mom brought just a couple of days before.  After dinner, he selected Ruler OST on his music player and played with his two cats.  The cats are all over him, clearly missing him since he has been so busy lately.  He suddenly stopped as he heard Sohyun's voice singing the OST.  Seung Ho sat up and held both cats on his lap.  He  the cats as he listened to Sohyun sing.  He closed his eyes as he is swept by the sweetness of her voice, a small smile played on his face.

Later that night, after a full day of photoshoots and interviews, Sohyun finally could check her phone.  She was excited to see the group messages and quickly reply that she is in, though she raised her concern on whether they can find a date where the four of them can make it.  Surprisingly, they did find one date to have dinner.  Everyone was excited about the dinner. L quickly ask some of the other casts and Bae You Ram, Lee Chae Young, Shin Hyun Soo and Kim Seo Kyung are free that night too.  L promised to book a restaurant the next day.

On the day of the arranged dinner, Seung Ho was early to arrive at the restaurant.  He has been looking forward to the dinner and seeing everyone. At the same time, his shyness was also making him nervous. L arrived soon after and his friendly nature immediately made Seung Ho comfortable again.  Chae Young, Hyun Soo and Seo Kyung joined them soon after and then the rest of the girls except for Sohyun.   So Hee mentioned that Sohyun texted that she will join them a bit later as her meeting was running a little bit late.  They should start dinner first.

The reunion was a robust affair, with lots of laughter.  You Ram regaled them with funny anecdotes of the things he has been up to.  Seung Ho enjoyed himself but his eyes kept darting to the door of the private room.  You Ram noticed him and jabbed his side. “Anxious about someone?” Everyone else laughed. Seung Ho blushed and said he was worried about Sohyun. 

An hour later, Sohyun appeared, greeted and bowed to everyone, apologizing for her tardiness.  She sat next to So Hee which was on the opposite end of the table.  Amidst all the chatter, Seung Ho tried to figure out an opportunity to speak to her but it looks near impossible.  He only managed to steal glances at that beautiful face.  Occasionally he heard her voice laughing at some jokes.  Once, their eyes met across the table, Seung Ho smiled fondly at her and Sohyun smiled shyly back and looked away.
