I’ve gotten a lot of upvotes and comments thanks to you all srsly I can’t thank you //enough// but I know what it was like to get 0 to 3 comments for a chapter. I want to help out other authors through this platform so if you’re still reading this, do me a favor and read until the end. 

Is there an active story you’ve been sincerely enjoying? Have you upvoted it? No?? Go and leave an upvote!!!!!! Of course, you don’t have to, but if you love the story it literally takes .5 second (not even a second!) to leave a feedback by upvoting, especially if you aren't used to leaving comments

aaaaand here let me tell you why!! These authors, they take HOURS and HOurS out of their time to not only plot, write, but also edit and post these stories online for u!! And writing??? Writing is soo f u ck i n g hard guys!! Good stories don't magically come from thin air, they come from the EFFORT AND TIME authors put into them. these authors literally don’t owe you anything but they still do it because they want to deliver these stories to //you///!!! They do these things and don’t expect much in return, so it would REALLY make their day if you take like 3, 5, or even 10 minutes to leave them something nice !! 

You don’t want a story to ever be unfinished? DON'T LEAVE COMMENTS TO “UPDATE SOON” srsly do NOT do it, authors have busy lives you’ll stress them out/discourage them even more rather than motivate them. 10/10 guaranteed that ALL authors hate "pls update" comments LOL. INSTEAD, tell them all the things you love about the story in a comment, this motivates authors to keep delivering stories more than anything trust me on this

Remember that one compliment someone randomly gave you? Remember how happy it made your entire week? Even though it barely took any energy or effort for a kind stranger to compliment your hair or makeup or eyes etc, these things make a LASTING impact. This principle also applies to comments!

Like i still remember a compliment from 5 years ago someone gave me & lemme tell u, i have a memory bUT THAT'S HOW POWERFUL WORDS ARE U GUYSSS

and u don’t even have to compliment, feedback can be a constructive criticism (just don’t be a rude about it okie) LIKE I LOVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! who doesn’t want to improve right???? my writing would’ve still been ty if i haven’t improved from my first fic NO LIE I HAD TO DELETE THAT FIC BC CRINGE UGH

here’s another why you should support and upvote stories: it helps an author gets featured!! so yeah, all these little things count in the big picture so please please help these underrated authors out and make the aff more active! (cus aff has been more dead than my soul ever since 2014) it doesn’t even take much to escape being a passive reader :))
