That was where we stood then

.

We reached out in the darkness, hoping that something we grasped wouldn’t destroy what we’d worked so hard to reach

It was terrifying to wonder what we might lose, much too terrifying to wonder what there was to lose

.

It was terrifying to wonder if we’d still be breathing tomorrow, much too terrifying to wonder why we breathed at all

.

Most of the time, especially at nighttime, everything moved so quickly we couldn’t even stop to think about what it all meant.

.

Too bad you can’t figure out your life just by thinking about it.

.

None of us wanted to step into those pits of hell, but it was the only way across

.

That pathway went down deeper than we thought.

Man seriously, editing Part I was a beast, it took FOREVER. I feel like I know too many of my flaws now T_T

I’m going to confess something that will probably make me sound bad. For a smallllllllllll eeeeeeety biiiiiiitty second I was really tempted to just not start writing Part II during this semester and work on my own personal writing projects whenever I could snatch some free time.

But then my conscience wouldn’t leave me alone aaaaaand I realized how lame that would be.

So here I am! All freshened up and ready to work hard on Part II!
