Jongin watched as the plane skimmed the clouds, rising higher and higher in the sky until he reached across Chaeyeon’s body and shut the window. Chaeyeon was asleep, exhausted after the ending of their second year of university. Her tiredness usually faded within a week, but he had a feeling that she would need a lot more sleep than that to recover.
She ended up staying asleep for about twelve hours of their fourteen hour flight, only waking up to eat, and even if she was awake, she blinked sleepily back at him before turning over and passing out again. It was a bit endearing.
When they landed, he shook her awake and Jongin nearly got lost several times trying to find their luggage as Chaeyeon laughed, letting him try before taking them in the right direction.
The air was cold, frigid, but thrilling. Their housing was provided for each other, but upon discovering that they were fifteen minutes of a walk apart from each other, Jongin knew that he would be spending most of his nights at Chaeyeon’s.
They ditched their luggage at their respective places before choosing to walk around the city for the rest of the day. They watch the sunset in Central Park, eat hot pot at a dive, and nearly slip on the icy sidewalks while they try to warm their hands and curse themselves for forgetting gloves.
