“So I need to sound cute…” I mumble as quietly as possible, but I think Jungkook hears it because the next second, he’s looking at me as if I’m farting through my nose.

“What?” I ask, slightly offended by his reaction.

He looks at me weirdly for a few seconds before he shakes his head and laughs awkwardly.

“Sorry, I thought you said you needed to sound cute,” he says and smiles at me. “Can you repeat what you’ve said?”

I am suddenly embarrassed by my comment and I look at my fingers. Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I’m asking this question to my first friend! Who is a frickin boy! I must have really farted through my nose if I’m going to ask these questions to Jungkook.

“So…?” Jungkook asks.

I stop walking and look at him hesitantly. He also stops and looks at me questioningly.

“Well, so um…” I stutter and avoid gazes with him.

“Continue,” he says and I take a deep breath. He looks encouragingly, but I just shake my head.

“Nevermind,” I reply and run up the stairs.

“Hey, wait!” he shouts at me and I curse at myself for being so slow when Jungkook catches me right away.

After he takes a deep breath, he looks at me with a soft gaze.

“No please, tell me. I will try to help you,” he says warmingly and I almost feel myself falling into his sweetness.

“No, but you’ll laugh if you hear what I say!” I argue and pout at him.

He looks at me before he chuckles.

“I won’t. I promise. If I do, I will buy you ice cream for a whole month!” he persuades and I sigh.

I look at Jungkook hesitantly and slowly nod.

“Okay…” I mutter.

“So?”

“Okay, but don’t you dare laugh! Um… so… I really need help… And I- I… I need to… I-I need… N-need…” I keep stuttering, not being able to spit out the words I want to say.

“Damn it Yeonha. Just spit it out,” Jungkook says impatiently.

I close my eyes shut and shout, “I NEED TO SOUND CUTE!”

When there’s no response from Jungkook, I slowly open my eyes, but I scowl when I see Jungkook trying to hide his laughter.

“Piss off,” I snarl and march off from him.

I seriously don’t know what I’m doing right now. If anything, I want to kill myself.

“So first, you have to speak in a natural high-pitched voice, okay?” Jungkook instructs and I snort in response.

“Snorts are not allowed!” he nags strictly and I pout.

“Yes, and pouts are cute so try to include them,” he says.

Oh really?

Pouts are cute?!

Oh!

Then I’m going to pout all day!

I exaggerate my pouting and look at Jungkook.

“Like this?” I ask.

Jungkook looks at me for a moment before he starts laughing like a hyena.

“Hey! Why are you laughing?!” I ask furiously. “I thought pouts were supposed to be cute!”

“Yeah, but you’re not pouting. That’s just trying to imitate Donald Duck,”
