A border is a line. A border separates two kingdoms. A border defines a kingdom.
Inside a kingdom people build their homes, their lives, their civilization, culture, set of values. They share the same history. They identify with one other, with their kingdom. Together they define one other. They are part of their kingdom.
Their kingdom spells their identify.
Your identity defines who you are, who you are not, the very fundamental element of your being.
“To be or not to be…”
Something to live for. Something to die for.

There are forces capable of altering the borders. These are forces which can redefine kingdoms, wipe out kingdoms.
They can wipe out your identity, and throw you into somewhere you don’t belong. They can turn you into some individual who is not you.
