Moonbyul’s pov

“You trust me?” Prof Jung asked me.

“Of cos, I trust you more than my life. You are the one who gave me life else I will be dead. If it is not for you to supply me with the “tomato juice” all these years, I would be already dead and turned into ashes long ago. Please tell me.”

She turned to me, eyes matched my earnest pleading gaze. Her face shone with unknown glow.

A realisation hit me like a thunderbolt.

I am amazed on how my mind worked. It gave me a picture of ..

Her cat shaped eyes look so alike to Krystal’s.

Are they related?

“Sorry Byul, I have promised someone not to tell you.” Seeing my intense stare at her, she averted her attention back to Amber. “But you should be able to guess a fair bit already.”

Who did she promised not to tell?

I shut my eyes to focus, going through all the information, trying to link them up

Sh*t, there are still missing pieces.

I run through them again and again. When I attempted for the n th times, a whisper came into my head,  “Moonie, remember your promise to me.”

Krystal?

Krystal, where are you?

Tears welled up and rolled down.

“My queen, you promised Aphrodite not to tell but I did not!” Amber broke the silence making me to open my eyes immediately and looked for her.

Aphrodite?

Who is she?

Wae did Irene and Amber mention about her?

My eyebrows furrowed.

Amber spoke, “The story I told you just now? Krystal is one of the little beautiful being sneaked out from up there to down here. The greatest possession of her is the moon crystal that you are holding, she left it here so to save your life. You would have died if she did not do that.

By now, you should have known who her sister is.” She side glanced at Prof Jung before she continued.

Realization hit me like lighting.

Krystal is from up there! She sneaked out and left the moon crystal with me to save me. I recalled the incidents and they all matched with what Amber has said.

The night when I saved Krystal and covered her with my jacket, the moon crystal was in my jacket. From then on, I lost my special abilities. They only came back when I was with Krystal.

“What do you mean when you say to save me, the greatest possession was sacrificed….?” My mouth processed faster that my brain.

Amber shook her head again, “To save you, the greatest possession was sacrificed and now sealed within you.  That night, when you saved Irene, you are frozen to death.”
