Inna wasn't sure what to do or how to react, but she also knew that he shouldn't be staring back at her for so long. She was curious as to why he continued to match her gaze and why he didn't make a face at the stranger that was staring at him - he was acting as if this was normal for him.

He's weird, she thought to herself, as he smiled and looked away.

Inna turned away as well, but she couldn't rid herself of the feeling she felt while staring at his eyes. It was as if an ethereal wave washed over her and consumed her - if that made any sense. She tried to shake off the odd emotion that overcame her, but for some reason, the way his eyes just sparkled like stars was impossible to forget.

Shaking her head to rid herself of that thought, Inna looked up from the ground and saw the headmistress walking to the front of the stage, her voice filling the whole room shortly. "Good morning students," she greeted, and it was surprising how warm she sounded, despite her cold exterior. "I hope you're all settled in by now. I just want to give you information that you may or may not know, but..."

She rambled on and on, and while Inna listened with one ear, she was slowly drifting off into various daydreams of her in class and being someone who was proud of who she was. Well, it wasn't that Inna wasn't proud of who she was, but it's a lot more pressure being her than someone from a regular family. With a small sigh, she focused on the headmistress and the crowd in front of her.

These would be the people that surrounded her for the rest of her high school career (or at least, hopefully) and she was quite amazed at the division between the humans and the vampires. Inna could clearly make out the tense shoulders and anxious auras coming from most of the humans, whereas the vampires were quite lax and unbothered.

Her eyes couldn't help but flutter back to where the mesmerizing stranger was. He was finally paying attention to the headmistress now, but now that she could get a good glimpse of him in secret, Inna noticed that he was rather attractive. Although she could only see part of his face, she saw how determined his gaze was and how soft his skin appeared to be. He seemed to be listening to the headmistress rather intently and Inna liked how serious he looked; it wasn't a gaze that she saw on many people, including herself, and it even made her feel a bit jealous.

She wished that she could have strong eyes like him, but of course, she was a girl with not many strengths, so it was practically impossible.

After standing for about twenty more minutes and listening to the boorish speech, the headmistress finally wrapped up everything that she was saying.

"Classes will begin tomorrow, so do not be late and don't sleep late either," she reminded. "Also, after curfew, you are all to be in your rooms and I surely hope that none of you are in the room of the opposite gender! There will be nightly check ups, as to ensure that all of you are following the rules. Thank you, you are all dismissed."

The crowd of people immediately grew restless as they tried to all get out quickly, but Inna and Jion waited behind quietly, not wanting to get trampled by the horde. As she peered around the room, she saw that Jin was also waiting behind with his friends, and for some reason, there was a feeling in her stomach that made her compelled to walk towards him, although she ignored it and followed Jion, who had already started walking back to the dorms.

"If you need help with navigating where your classes are tomorrow, you can always tell me," Jion suddenly offered, making Inna's heart jump a little in surprise.

"Oh, thank you. I'll be sure to do so," the other girl smiled back calmly.

"What's your number?"

The pair stopped to exchange telephone numbers and in the midst of repeating the number that Jion had given her, Inna heard a familiar voice calling her name. As she turned back, she saw Jin waving his arms aggressively, as he approached closer and closer to her, his friends following suit.

"Dude, really? We're getting close to Jion?"

The person who said that looked like he just rolled out of bed, as his dark hair was tousled messily over his head and his eyes drooped sleepily. Jion's face immediately went red as she was flustered by the stranger's sudden appearance.

"Shut up Yoongi."

Inna wasn't sure what to make of their relationship, but made a note to ask her roommate about it later... maybe.

"Be quiet, Yoong, there's nothing wrong with Jion," Jin defended with a roll of the eye, before he turned back to Inna. "I didn't see you during the assembly."

"Yeah," she nodded slightly. "I was just in the back with Jion."

"Oh I see," he smiled. "Anyway, here are my friends!"

As he went down the line of boys, he said their names, but there were so many that Inna could not keep up with most of them... that is, until he introduced her to the boy with the twinkling eyes.

"This is Jungkook! He's the baby out of all of us, but he's still a second year!" Jin said teasingly, ruffling the boy's hair. Jungkook merely scowled as he tried to push the intruding hand away from his head, although to no avail.

"Hello," Inna replied quietly, hoping that she didn't seem too timid. "My name is Yang Inna and I'm new here."

"Are you a first year?" A tall, curious boy asked, and if she remembered correctly, his name seemed to be Taehyung.

"No, I just transferred here," she replied. "I thought I'd fit in here better."

"Well of course you would! There's so many vampires here and plus, a lot of them are from elite families like you!" This time, it seemed to be the boy named Hoseok that said this to her. Inna could only give a weak laugh in response, as she felt a large burden settle slowly on her shoulders. Luckily for her, Jion came to her rescue with a snarky comment, "Just because she's from an elite family, that doesn't mean you should just flaunt it around like that, Hoseok."

"Sorry about that," he whimpered in response, appearing like a dog that had just been bitten and was tending to its wounds.

Inna noticed that Jungkook remained silent throughout all of this. Despite the bright smile on his face, his twinkling eyes seemed to be cold and icy, something that caught her off guard, as he seemed unbothered a minute before.

"Anyway," Jion cleared , changing the subject. "We should get out of here. The crowd is getting smaller."

As the group made their way outside, Inna couldn't help but notice the amount of girls that glanced over at Jungkook, stealing several glances. Perhaps he didn't see or maybe he was pretending to be cool about it, but he continued on his way, until they reached the beginning of the dorm rooms.

"Are you guys going to your rooms now?" Jin asked, a small frown on his face.

"Well, I wouldn't want to be the next target of Jungkook's fans," Jion snorted. "They're ruthless."

This time, Inna noticed a small twinkle of pride in his eyes, making her realize that he was pretending to be cool about all the girls and that he actually knew very well that he stole glances from every direction.

"Shut up," Jungkook whined in embarrassment. "I can't help it! They just follow me wherever I go, but it's just because I'm so charming and handsome, which is something I can't control!"

Jion scoffed, "You're so cocky."

Jungkook merely chuckled in response, and countered that he wasn't cocky at all, but by this time, Inna wasn't listening. All she could do was think to herself, Oh no
