Description

“I live amongst the stars at the edge of the galaxy. This is where I’ll be waiting for you.”

 

A girl must cross the galaxy to search for the boy whose letter had washed up on shore in a bottle. She doesn't know who or where he is, or even if the message is meant for her, but she knows she needs to find him.

Chapter 1: this made me cry.
perhaps it is because i am projecting, but i feel like this correlates deeply with the life of a fan who has fallen in love with their idol.
somehow, i see this as a journey of - first, finding this other-worldly person that we can never truly find or physically touch, yet are comforted by the sheer presence of their existance to - second, accepting that this "stardust" is, in fact, a real-life human being and that the only thing that is other-worldly is our emotions ewoked by that person.
in the end, we fall back into the thought that this person is our "stardust", but we only do so because we know we could never become something tangible, something real in the physical sense of the word.
