“Hello?”

“Emm hello?”

Taeyeon heart beats. It’s Yoona.

“Yeah? Who’s there?”

“It’s Yoona. Is… This Kim Taeyeon?”

“The one and only.”

“Right… emm do you have a time? I really really wanted to meet you, Taeyeon-shi.”

Taeyeon bite her lips.

This is surely gonna be a world war three, Taeyeon thought.

“I have a time today.”

“Great. Let’s meet at the café across the school. Oh by the way, don’t tell Jessica that you’re meeting me.”

“Sure.”

Taeyeon know, her eyes could never lie. And they will never lie about what the saw in front her. From the majestic angel she has born, Yoona had turned into the skeleton one. Yoona look so pale and skinnier but she still manages to give Taeyeon her best smile that once, melts the school’s heart.

Yoona cough and Taeyeon felt so pity. Maybe Yoona is still sad that both of her parents left her without fortune and of course, depending on Jessica probably was the main reason why Yoona looks so pity.

“Are you okay Yoona?” Taeyeon politely asked.

“This is me for the previous month. Bet Jessica will be bored of me.” Yoona replied.

“She hasn’t. Did she? She will be always the one who loves you.”

“Yeah. She writes everything about you in her phone every day. She never missed that opportunity if you wanna know.”

“W-what?” Taeyeon voice got choke by thousand airs suddenly. Jessica writes about her every day? What the hell Jessica writes them?

Yoona smiles before politely raised up her cup. Yoona scrunches her face when she finally able to recognizes the scent of caffeine that make she so crazy about. From the start encounter at the basketball area, she stiffly stumbled into the charming Jessica. With the sweats, glistering eyes and slicked hair back, Yoona immediately heads over heel for Jessica Jung.

Jessica plays for the school and she will be always practice every time she’s free. Yoona was the one who will be always the one who support her. Yoona still even couldn’t forget that Jessica waved her hands back at Yoona when she screams Jessica’s name too loud.

And from that, she started stalking the blonde back then. She knows everything about Jessica. Then, she did also know that Jessica choose based on her taste bud, not heart just like Yoona thought she could did but nevertheless, she’s fail.

There’s Kim Taeyeon who is slow as a snail but successfully make Jessica cried at night. Yoona is not deaf. She could hear clearly Jessica sniffs whenever she’s back from somewhere. Yoona wanted to calm her down, but she never know where else she should touch the elder Jung.

“I’m sorry. But the way you drink caffeine makes me wonder. Are you perhaps… losing your sense of your bud?” Taeyeon aks.

Yoona nods, “I am,” she replied.

“But why?”

Yoona heaves a sigh.

“Taeyeon, do you hate Jessica after everything she did to me?” Yoona takes the chances to ask Taeyeon. Sure, Kim Taeyeon will probably hate Jessica for being so close to her. She could see Taeyeon seems a little bit bewildered by Yoona’s question.

Taeyeon shook her head.

“Do you hate me then?”

Taeyeon nods, innocently.

And Yoona couldn’t help but to smiled. The same smile where she heard Doctor Hwang tells Jessica that she couldn’t survive any longer.

“Where’s Yoona?” Jisung said when both of his feet stepped into Jessica’s house. Jessica wasn’t there and Daniel just playing nice to drop a takeout for his best friend. Apparently, there seems no one in the house. Except a lazing Krystal on the couch with a plate of cookies.

Daniel shrugged his shoulder, answering to Jisung’s question with his gesture. Guess, Jisung really needs to wait for the answer since Daniel was so eager to punch the little Jung straight at her face.

“Soo Jung, where’s your sister?” Daniel says, earning a glance from Krystal.

“You came into my house and act like a gangster just to ask about my sister? Are you for real?” Krystal cocked her eyebrow, challenging Daniel.

“Listen, I don’t want to make fuss at here. And I don’t even want to hurt you even you seems wanted to. I just need to see Yoona then I’m off.”

“That wasn’t here today.”

“What the hell with your language, Krystal!”

“What? She’s ing with my sister and my sister hurt someone I love so much. She deserves it.” Krystal says as the matter of fact. Krystal couldn’t even stand the way Taeyeon eyes flowing a lot of tears lately. Everything that Krystal said these days don’t even go straight into Taeyeon’s heart.

Taeyeon was too occupied with Jessica’s picture in her phone and Krystal hates them.

“Are you serious? Is this the real way how you act?” Jisung has silenced too much and he thinks, it is the time to correct the younger Jung behavior. She’s being rude to someone older than her and Jisung doesn’t even sure whenever she’s acting like this in front of Jessica too.

“What? I’m saying the truth. Everyone seems to protect the angel, aren’t you? Unnie loves her too.”

“You don’t even know what are you saying.” Daniel gritted his teeth, suppressing his anger very well.

Krystal snickered.

“Me? I don’t know what I’m saying? Oh come on. Don’t play dumb with me. I know everything about her. Unnie love her too much that she hurt the one who loved her with all of her might. And that person was Kim Taeyeon and Kim Taeyeon doesn’t even deserve her!”

Daniel stepped in front and he just remember he raise his hand high before slapping the younger Jung straight onto it. Then, he could feel Jisung pulling him behind while calming her down.

Daniel couldn’t help.

His mind was replaying back; the way how Jessica smiles every time she saw Taeyeon putting the tumbler in her locker before shutting the giggling Daniel who always be with her anytime. He also remembers the day where Jessica downheartedly learning cheesy pickup line with Jisung and Daniel couldn’t help, but to help her to do better.

Krystal doesn’t even know how big Jessica’s heart just only for Taeyeon.

Daniel has been there.

Loving someone on someone else tears.

And then, the world blame on him.

Jessica and Jisung were the one who believe him and they keep supporting him to stay alert with his life.

“You—slap me?” Krystal asked, bewilder with his bold action.

“Yes, Jung Soo Jung. I slap you.” Daniel replies back.

“YOU SLAP ME?!” She shrieked.

“That one because you don’t keep your language in check and I ing disappointed the way you talk to me. You don’t even know what your sister having in her head and you talk everything you want just because Taeyeon doesn’t even look at you. You can never blame on her. You can never put the blame on her. She was lack and she was lack because you never lend the hand to help her. How many times Jessica asked you to accompany Yoona to hospital?”

Krystal silenced and Daniel decides to keep the answer as never.

“You never going to the hospital, aren’t you?”

“Daniel, let just go.” Jisung politely pull Daniel’s hand, but Daniel insists.

“See? Then, you blame on your sister just because your sister doesn’t even pay a visit to Taeyeon. For sake Krystal, your sister is doing all the errands here because you never help her! I almost kill you here, you know? Fine, you said Jessica never love Taeyeon. Don’t you ever know that she write everything about Taeyeon in her phone? Don’t you ever know that your sister is actually a stalker of Taeyeon whenever she saw her walking around? Don’t you ever know? Don’t you?”

Krystal slowly shook her head.

“See? You don’t ever know.”

“Then—what Yoona is doing here?”

“Krys, she was doing her a favor. Yoona’s mother was the one of head doctor who saves you on your born. Your mother lost a lot of blood because the bleeding. Your dad even donated his blood just to save you. And then, Yoona’s mother came in before proceeding to the next level surgery and you make it. Your sister is just trying to repay her, with all of her mother good deeds on you. Was it wrong then?” Daniel says, just enough to make Krystal ponder.

Taeyeon agaped. Yoona keeps the beanie off and she felt shy whenever someone is looking at her.

Yoona has lost her favorite hair and scent. Yoona has a bald on the center and Yoona knows, she is ugly. Ugly as ever and Jessica was the only one who keep chanting ‘you’re beautiful, one little thing’, before pulling her sheets.

“What…” Taeyeon was lost.

“You see, Jessica is taking care of me. I’m in stage four now. I lost my hair because some of the chemotherapy. I don’t even want to undergo another surgery, but Jessica insists. She said she wants to keep me healthy for another month.” Yoona said, swallowing big lump in . It has been so hard for her too.

Taeyeon lost her word.

She could see clearly why Jessica never had a time for her.

She was taking care of the sick deer. The sick deer who is fighting for her last breath and Jessica wasn’t even the one who should she blame on.

“Are you…”

“I’mma lung cancer.” Yoona said, before smiling.

“I’m sorry.”

“It’s never been your fault.”

“I’m sorry Yoona. You need her more than I do.” Taeyeon shocked with the words that came out perfectly from to be honest. Yoona even had knitted brows upon hearing the words came out from Taeyeon’s mouth.

“Both of us need her, Taeyeon.” Yoona calmly spoke.

Taeyeon nodded, sadly.

“Which is I’m asking…”

Yoona get off from the seat before lowering herself on the floor. Yoona sets her weakened legs and started kneeling. Even though the floor was so cool and it might hurt because the coldness, Yoona doesn’t even care. She need to settle things up and she want to make it before she’s gone.

Tears start streaming and Taeyeon couldn’t help but to pull Yoona’s hand up. Yoona wasn’t supposed to kneel in front her, Taeyeon heart clenches tightly. It is the first time for Taeyeon to give up on someone that she loved so much. And Yoona’s condition doesn’t even make Taeyeon heart sits down for a little. Taeyeon was so hurt.

“Taeyeon, this is too much… But I really really need your help.”

“Yoona, there’s no need to kneel. I want to help you. Let me help you too.”

Yoona shook her head away. “Everything is going to end soon. Mine just happened to be a little faster than you guys.”

“Yoona, Jessica is willing to do anything for you, I believe.”

Yoona shuts Taeyeon mouth with her point finger on her lips.

“Taeyeon, if you don’t mind… Will you let Jessica spends her day with me? At least, I want to spend my day with someone I love so much before… You know that. Will you?”

Taeyeon pulls Yoona into her hug. She could hear Yoona muffled voice and desperation fills in the air. Yoona is crying tense and Taeyeon want to soothe everything between them. Taeyeon want to be kind to Yoona, at least for now since she was the one who seriously in love with the elder Jung.

And Taeyeon wouldn’t even mind to give up on her favorite caffeine. Just for Yoona.

I have wrote all the chapters and when I read those comments, it just keep making those chapter longer than the ready-made and of course, I have to modified some of the chapter. Sorry for the late update. It just… One of my closet dosaeng, DreamingYou is finally has put up on her writing hobby. She wants to deactivate her acc on aff and it’s bothering me. She was my fav dosaeng even we came from another country. Ohmygod, I’m tearing.
