when yg entertainment established their plan to debut girl group e2w, they made a plan to follow them with a boy group that they would call c2c. coast to coast, to match with the theme of east to west for the girls. these six boys were sure to enchant fans with their talents and visuals, not to mention their personalities and capability to write and produce music for themselves and their sister group e2w.

unfortunately, what seemed perfect on paper didn't go off without a hitch, and a lot of their complications were caused by the company. before debut could roll around, one of the initial members left. yg told the boys they'd continue as five, but later, c2c was faced with yet another drastic change: the new member. 

it seemed like things were destined to snowball from there, with e2w already debuted and the empire project starting while c2c was still floundering. 

it seemed they were doomed before they could even begin.
