"Jeonghan-ah, your Eomma and I have been thinking... And we thought that it was finally time for you to learn to be independent." Jeonghan's father said on the other side of the line.

Jeonghan immediately frowned, lost for words.

"But... Appa! I'm only in my last year of High School. How am I supposed to support myself, with education in my hands and with rent and bills that I have to pay for?" He sighed, as he laid back on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

"Like any 19-year-old. Get a part-time job. Okay... we must go! Bye Han Han. We love you!" And with that his parents ended the call, leaving Jeonghan in a slump.

The thing is... Today was supposed to be the day, where Jeonghan received a call from his parents so that they could tell him that they have just added money to his bank so that he would have pocket money to live. Not tell him to be independent with 748.87₩ left in his account so he can starve and die.

Screw his stupid self for treating his friends to a meal last week thinking that he will still be able to survive because his parents were going to top-up money into his freaking account!

He felt his stomach grumble and so he got up and headed to the fridge of his small little apartment and realize there was nothing except a body of mineral water. He sighed and went to his cupboard where he got instant ramyun and went to cook it. 'uhh... it’s the last packet.'

Damn... He needed to look for a job asap, if not he was going to starve.

So, after dinner, the long-haired boy took his coat and tied his hair, and left his apartment and headed to the store to see what he could buy with his remaining 8707₩ in his wallet that could last him for the time being.

He entered the shop and started to look around. He sighed at the prices. these items could only last him maybe about a day's worth of meals. He sighed and went to get instant ramyun packets instead.

After that, he stuffed his hand in his pocket and held the bag in the other. As he walked along the streets, he walked past the bar that was nearby his apartment.

Jeonghan immediately walked in without thinking. I mean it’s just being a waiter, what was the worst that could happen.

And after that night Jeonghan got the job. And he has been working there every night. With a day off every Friday.

Just by working there, Jeonghan got to experience many things. Like, having to deal with drunkards, girls, and even guys wanting to take him home. He even has people slapping his as he walks by tables. But most importantly was that he got to watch, who he thought was the best performer in South Korea. There were two of them. They were known as Ensconce. The two of them would always perform in a mask. One of them would be Deejaying while the other would rap and dance. The duo would always be at the club on these 3 days, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. And Jeonghan would never fail to watch them and have his eyes stuck on them whenever they performed.

One night, when Jeonghan was busy working, while the duo was performing, Jeonghan happened to get hit on by a drunkard.

"Y-You..." The drunk man points at Jeonghan. Jeonghan started to get scared. He looked around to see if his manager or any of his colleagues were in his sight so he can call out for them for help. But no. They were nowhere in sight. Jeonghan started to back away as the man started to approach him and suddenly take hold of his hand.

"You look so pretty, and cute. I bet you're also cute in bed... " He started holding onto Jeonghan's hand hard and pulled on him, Jeonghan started to struggle and resisted.

"N-No... Stop... It hurts..." He started to pull against the man.

Suddenly, the rapper of Ensconce stopped rapping and jumped off the stage and ran towards to the drunkard, where he punched him in the face and shouted. "DON'T TOUCH HIM!"

The man immediately let go and walked away mumbling curses and made his way out.

The masked rapper ran his thumb over Jeonghan's wrist as he looked at the bruise.

"T-Thank you..." Jeonghan smiled at him as his face went pink.

"Be careful next time." The rapper took off his coat and let Jeonghan wear it.

"Go home. Go and rest. I'll tell your boss for you. Don't worry." The man in the masked said. And with that Jeonghan didn't retaliate but went to get his belongings and went straight home.

He laid in bed and took hold of the jacket in his hand and thought about what had happened that night.

He felt his heart clench. He just had a tug on his heartstrings.

After a few days, when Jeonghan went to work, he brought the jacket with him knowing that Ensconced was going to perform again that night. He sought permission from his boss to have an earlier break so he could watch the performance. With the jacket hung on his hand, he handled it with care. He stood at the side and watched their performance, mesmerized by how he raps and even takes in what the rap was about.

Then and there, the masked rapper turned to his direction, and what seems to be a wink, the rapper pointed at him when he rapped his part about how "there was just that pretty person in the middle of the hall, the apple of my eye."

'Is... that for me? There are girls in front of me... It's probably for them.' Jeonghan thought as he lowered his head and walked backstage and wait to return the jacket.

When the rapper came down from the stage he saw Jeonghan and approached him.

"H-hey... I just wanted to thank you for the other day and..." He presented the jacket and gave it back to him. "thank you for this."

The rapper, took the jacket and placed it at the side before slowly taking hold of Jeonghan's hand "How is your injury?" The rapper ran his thumb over the bruised area like what he did a few days ago when the wound was still fresh. 

"It's better." Jeonghan blushed and keeping his eyes on the man who was still taking hold of his hand. 

"Did you put ointment on it?" He asked, and Jeonghan nodded wanting to let him know he's been taking care of himself.

"Good." He then reached foreword and Jeonghan's head, which made Jeonghan blush. "Cutie... hahaha.." The rapper chuckled.

That made Jeonghan blush even harder. The next thing was something Jeonghan didn't expect, the rapper leaned forward to Jeonghan's ear and whispered.

"By the way... that last song was for you cutie..." 'Oh... damn...' Just by the sound of his voice, he felt his legs go numb.

And with that he walked away from Jeonghan, leaving the blushing boy on the spot.

After that day, Jeonghan always looked forward to working on nights when Ensconce was performing. Jeonghan didn't want to be too expectant of having song dedications like what happened the other night but continuously looking out for a wonderful performance.

However, out of work, Jeonghan couldn't help but fangirl fanboy over Ensconce, especially the masked rapper. He followed him on Instagram, Facebook, SNS, and every other social media. Even Ask.fm.

He would stare at his phone for the whole day, while he ate his instant ramyun and smile like an idiot.

He then began sharing that side of him with his best friends and told them how he was crushing on him.

Of course, his best friends, Jisoo and Seokmin were happy for him because he was livelier and he smiled more. It was more of smiling like an idiot while staring at thin air.

Jisoo however couldn't help but be worried.

"Han-ah I know you fell in love with a man behind a masked. But you don't even know how he looks like. And secondly, you don't even know if hits on other men or women like that too." Jisoo said as he sat down in front of his love-struck friend.

"Soo. You just haven't experience meeting that one person that catches your attention." Jeonghan said, sighing in content. Jisoo just rolled his eyes and laid back in his seat.
