I. UNIVERSE
— This is an AU roleplay. It takes places in the universe of the Legend of Aang/Korra, therefore your character is not an idol.


II. TIMEFRAME 
— Though the theme takes terms and systems from TLoA and LoK, the era has been set to modern times to allow players to relate to their characters more.


III. CHARACTER 
— Your character can be an academy student or an educator. Keep in mind that your character must be a bender to enroll in the Academy.


IV. LITERACY 
— The roleplay accepts both semi-literate and literate roleplayers, as well as both script and para typing styles.
—  ​​​Emojis, text speak and crack are fine, however not allowed outside the OOC and SNS groups.


V. RELATIONSHIPS
— All orientations are allowed.
— do not discriminate against any orientation.
— There is no relationship ban because we highly encourage plotting, but do not face-chase.
— Move-in couples are allowed, provided that you both also interact with others.


VI. PROHIBITIONS 
— Godmodding, metagaming, face-chasing, selective replies, rude behavior and all other types of inappropriate conduct is not allowed.


VII. IC vs OOC 
— Please know the difference between the two.
— You may construct your character however you wish, but we suggest you avoid inserting too much of your own personality into your character to avoid misunderstandings with other roleplayers.
— OOC drama is frowned upon and prohibited; do not also bring your OOC problems from another roleplay here.


VIII. POINT SYSTEM 
— The roleplay uses a point system both for personal use and for collective class points.
—  Points can be earned through public plots, games and events.
— Personal points determine who reigns as the leader of each class after every activity check, while collective house points determine which class reigns as the 'ruling nation' till the next activity check.


IX. HIATUS AND DEPARTURES 
—  A hiatus lasts for a month while a semi-hiatus lasts anywhere up to two weeks. If you need to take either one, make sure to notify the mod.
—  Leaving the roleplay also constitutes for a little courtesy; notify the mod, leave the groups, and unfriend everyone.
—  Please do not announce your departure in the OOC group; exchanging of other means of contact may be done through private messages.
—  Kickouts are not limited to inactivity; the mod has the right to kick out whoever deliberately breaks the rules more than once.

X. ACTIVITY 
— We highly encourage everyone to welcome new members and socialize outside of PM.
—  You may also roleplay in PM but only plots posted in groups and walls will be counted as your activity and for points.
—  If you do not roleplay in public, you may get mistakenly kicked out. It defeats the purpose of roleplaying if you will simply hide in PM.

how to join

one — Subscribe to the AFF. Upvotes are highly appreciated. 

two — Choose a faceclaim from the masterlist. Anyone not listed is available. (Only Asian faceclaims are allowed for now.)

three — Choose an original character name. You may use this generator to have an idea, or you may chose a name of Asian origin (as that is where names from The Legend of Aang and Korra were lifted). A surname is optional.

four — Only benders aged 21 and below may enter the Academy as students. A bender aged 25 or older may become an Academy educator.

five — Choose one of the four (4) classes — earth, fire, water and air —  to know where your character will belong. You may choose a sub-skill to be your specialty as well. (Ex. If you chose the Earth class, you may choose metal-bending as a sub-skill)

six — Fill out the application form below and send it to the main AFF account, where further instructions will be sent to you afterwards. If you are moving in with a partner, please state so in both of your applications.

sEVEN — After sending the form, comment back on this thread with the following format:

      For Students: "[faceclaim name of group] has enrolled
                                 in the academy"

      for educators: "[faceclaim name of group] has APPLIED
                                 TO TEACH AT the academy"

      Ex. kai of exo has enrolled in the academy.
