Enough; was all Daehyun thought before packing a backpack and duffle bag to leave Fortune City. His parent’s rocky relationship was beginning to take a toll on him. The 17 year old was tired of the constant fighting and crying in his home, after all his efforts failing he knew it was time.

So he left. Even if it was for a little while. He left.

Set out on foot with a piggy bank clinking in his backpack the young lad trekked down the gravelled road towards the city border.  

“Where are you going, son?” the official asked as Daehyun pulled out his ID card.

“Taking a break” the boy smiled. “Spending summer in the countryside sounds nice,” his gleaming eyes filled with adventure made the official soften up a little.

“I hope your parents know about this” the man pursed his lips.

“They know I won’t be home over summer. And you’re doing this” the lad pointed to the man holding his ID “so I can be found. If they look for me, they’ll find me.”

“Smart boy. Enjoy your stay in Pogin County” the man smiled before letting the boy pass the gate to face a field of reeds.
