She had walked into that transparent cage on her own two feet.

She had let them restrain her movements, put an oxygen mask on her face and needles in her arms so they could feed her and keep her alive.

She stood still as the water started to quickly surround her, the only one now standing inside the cage.

"Try anything funny, and you know what happens to him, right?"

Because even though she was strong, even though fire could spark from within her and make the whole building crumble on itself, he wasn't like her.

He was just a normal human being and they had guns pointing at his head and knives caressing his neck.

And so she decided to stay there, stuck in cold water and restraining herself from even warming it up.

It wasn't her life to be at stake. It was his.
