C and D are twins adopted when they were still babies by a homoual married couple, A and B.
At the age of fifteen, they are talking with A in their parents’ bedroom, when a picture on the wall/table that has always been there but they had always overlooked gets their attention: a young and smiling B with a more than evident black eye is holding an as young and as smiling A that sports a broken arm.
