Me like yuh

Foreword

It's a cold rainy afternoon, it was almost 6pm when a phone call buzzed. The loud ring dominates the 3-meter wide soundproof studio.

"Hey, Minsik what's up?" Jay answered the phone call."Dinner? Yes, that sounds great. I'll see you then, yeah. I'm hanging up." He added with a wide smile on his face.

"Going to dinner with Minsik, aye?" Simon teased.

"Shut up, man. Just mind your business, lovebirds." Jay said in a mocking tone towards Simon who's being lovey-dovey with his long term boyfriend, Gray.

"Shh. Cut it out. We're going out for dinner too. Maybe you two wanna join us?' Gray offered, getting his coat from the hanger.

"Aye, no." Simon scoffs. "We need to have our own 'us' time, you know." He grins, pulling Gray closer to his side.

"I don't know about you man, but I'm heading out." Jay got up from his seat, grabbing his keys from the table.

The room went silent since Jay left. Nobody dares to say a word. Not until Simon broke it.

"Hey Loco, you okay bro?" Simon nudged Loco who has been sitting on the swivel chair infront of the keyboard.

Without saying a word, Loco heaved a deep sigh and a noticeable head shake.

Simon looked at Gray, they both know Loco wasn't okay. He has been keeping the biggest crush on Jay since Day1 but the latter don't even notice it.

Simon tried to break the ice, "That Minsik guy seems great but our Loco here is a lot better, right?" he asked Gray, hoping to cheer Loco up.

Another sigh escaped from Loco's lips. "I'm gonna head home early tonight, hyung." he says, grabs his cap and wears it on before leaving the two lovers inside the studio.

Loco decided to take a walk to his place, it was just three blocks away anyway, he wanted to clear his mind too so walking is probably the best choice ther is. He walked pass by a cozy pub where he spotted Jay and Minsik sitting on a corner table. His heart says leave, but his body says stay.

Loco found himself occupying the table behind the two. He's asking himself why is he doing this, but there is no answer. He feels confused, he feels pityful, he feels hurt.

He can hear everything the two's talking about. He can hear how endearing they sound to each other.

"We should do this more often." Minsik said. "Definitely, you should come to my studio sometimws too." Jay answered, his voice sounding really happy.

"I would love to." Minsik answered. "I feel like I should get along with your crew aswell." the younger insisted.

"Ofcourse , ofcourse, I'll make sure I'll introduce you to them." Jay assured Minsik.

Loco, who's listening from behind can't help but to feel really bad. He told himself he should leave before he hears something that can hurt him more.

He left the pub with his heads and hopes down.

The next day, Loco woke up with a throbbing head ache, probably from the pint of beer he had the other night. He sat up on his bed to find his phone, only to find a text message from Jay. "Studio today, before 9am." that was it. But it made his heart flutter, seeing a text from someone he's been liking early in the morning? Really a great win.

He rushed to the studio quickly after washing up.

What started a good day, seemed to end so quickly upon opening the studio's door. There, he sees Jay and Minsik, sitting side-by-side on the single couch, browsing through Jay's laptop.

"Aye Loco my man, you're here already? Si's not picking up, probably slept in late with Gray." Jay greeted. "Oh, anyway, you know Minsik right here? He's visiting to meet you guys." Jay added.

Loco can't find a word to say, so he just smiled at Minsik before heading to his station where he kept quiet for quite a while, staring at the two guys infront of him.

After an hour Si and Gray came, hand in hand. "Aye! What's going on?" Si greeted very casually, not knowing that somewhere in the same room, Loco has been sulking. "Looks like we got a visitor." he exclaimed upon seeing Minsik. "Nice meeting you, man. Simon Dominic here." he said, extending his arms towards Minsik for a handshake.

"Pleasure meeting you, it's an honor." Minsik smiled, accepting the hand shake.

"Gray right here, my boy. Off limits." Si jokingly added, pointing at Gray who's sensitive enough to check on Loco, unlike him.

Hours went very slowly for Loco, hall he wanted is to have an excuse to go out and leave the room.

Again, the only sensitive guy in the room, Gray, helped him.

"Hey Loco, wanna go out with me to buy coffee?" Gray offered. Loco grasping the motive at that very moment.

"Coffee sounds great." Jay exclaimed. "Loco, you know my usual." he added.

"Hey, why are you going with him and not me?" again, the dumb Simon asked.

"Just.. stay." Gray answered.

The two left, heading to the nearest Starbucks.

"That must be suffocating." Gray asked.

"Definitely." Loco answered with a sigh.

"I know the feeling. Been there before." Gray explained. Reassuring Loco with a shoulder pat. "Why don;t you just tell him." he added.

"I'm afraid." Loco slyly answered.

"Afraid of? Rejection?" Gray confused, looking at Loco.

Loco shook his head and stares at a distance. "Afraid to lose him.. as a friend."

"You won't know unless you take a risk." Gray suggested. "We can help you, do you want me to talk to him? Or am I being to nosy?" Gray chuckled.

"Nah. I'll be fine." Loco answered, taking the coffee from the shop.

The two went back to the studio, Simon standing outside the door.

"Why are you here?" Gray asked

"Reasons." Si answere, grabbing his cup of coffee from Loco. "Go on, Jay needs his coffee. Give it to him." he added.

"But..." Loco said, looking at Gray as if asking for help. Gray answered with a nod, telling him to go in.

He was hesitant at first, he hates the feeling of being in the same room as Jay and Minsik. After a few seconds of contemplating, he opens the door only to find Jay sitting alone. Confused and taken aback, Loco went to approach Jay, handing him his coffee, sitting on the empty chair beside Jay.

"Put this on." Jay asked Loco, handing him his headphones, not looking at him, but on the screen of his laptop.

"What? What's this? New song?" He asked, still confused.

"Just put it on." Jay insisted.

Loco puts on the headphones only to hear Jay's voice from it.

"Simon told me everything." that was the first sentence he heard from it. Loco's eyes widened, looking at Jay who's only staring at his keyboards. He can't vread his expressions, is he mad? Is he disgusted?

Loco continued listening to the record. "You should have told me earlier. Why did you make it hard for both of us? I didn't know what I was feeling for you until today. When I found out you're hurting because of me, I felt twice the pain. I* asked myself why am I so dumb for not feeling your affection? I didn't knew I was stupid, until now. Sorry I hurt you without knowing. Sorry I made you feel ignored. Sorry for being so dumb. Will you let me make up for all of it? If yes, stay in this room. If no, leave.I like you, Loco. Maybe not as much as you like me, because I'm sure it is more that that."

Silence.... a whole minute of silenced embraced the tiny room. Neither of them moving, nor saying a word. They can't look at each other. It felt awkward. A minute feels like an hour.

"ha." Jay sighed, sipping on his coffee.

"But.. you.. and Minsik..' Loco mumbled lowly, looking at Jay.

Jay looked at Loco, but the latter avoided his gaze. He grabbed Loco's hand, but Loco pulls away. "That's all for work, Loco. All for work." Jay explained, can't help hiding his smile finding Loco's jelous side so cute.

"Really? Only for work and nothing else? Maybe you're lying" Loco asked.

"I haven't lied to you since we met and I wasn't planning to until the next hundred years." Jay answered, assuring Loco with his words.

"Hundred years, HAHAHAHHAHAA!" the door busted open, Simon laughing. "THAT WAS SO CHEESY!" He laughed.

"So.. you two together now?" Gray asked with a smile.

"Well...he stayed....maybe.. are you planning to leave, Loco?" Jay smiled, looking at Loco.

"I am never leaving." Loco smiled back, grabbing Jay's hand.

"Ohhhhh yes! Thank me, I'm your cupid!" Simon teased.

Jay chuckled, throwing his cap to Simon playfully. "Shut up. Could have been more normal if Gray told me. You made it sound like a gossip." Jay laughed.

"Well, still, thank me. Perhaps, treat us to a dinner or something." Simon protested.

"Double date?" Gray asked, looking at Simon.

"Double date." Jay smiled, locking hands with Loco.
