I live in a family of nomads. No, not the tribal ones like on the discovery channel. Normal ones; people that just move around a lot. My father is a a busy man with a company in his home country of Germany, so travelling has always been a part of the job. He lived mainly in Europe before meeting his second wife while on vacation in Japan. When I imagine their meeting and how they got married, I always see it as very akward. Picture this: A man meets a woman in a coffee house and falls in love with her at first sight, then they both leave their husband and wife, take the children and elope to England. But hey, whatever works right?

My parents both brought a kid each into the new family. My mom had Ha Rae from her marriage to a prominent Korean chef. My Dad's son Sebastian came from his marriage to his former apprentice. And they say office relationships never last. I was born a year after they moved to England, and we were there until I was three. Because of this, I don't remember much from our life there. After that, we moved to Chicago. We were there for seven years, so I do remember some things. It was always really cold, and the kids at school were nice to me and always asked questions about my mixed accent. . .

Anyway, we move to Florida after that for a warmer outlook on life. Ah, Sarasota was always so pretty in the summer. I'm going to miss it a lot. But that's enough of that. We just moved from there. So now, my family is living in a hotel near our new house. It's on the nicer side of town, just outside of San Franscico. I'll admit, I am excited, but I'm still trying to get over leaving all my friends behind.

I have only seen the house once. It's a good size for our family with two floors. The bottom floor has the kitchen, livingroom and a spare bedroom along with a bathroom. The top floor has the master bedroom which will belong to Mom and Dad, and then three more bedrooms for us kids. Of course, the master bedroom has an attached bathroom while there are two more bathrooms. The backyard is pretty big from being so close to the city. I was thinking about asking for a small dog?

Anyway, the house is nice, but a little bland. So we're staying in the hotel an extra week to have all the rooms except for mine painted to my mom's liking. Added onto getting everything in the house organized, a week should be enough time to get everything settled, right?

So that's the foreward! My updates will most likely be irregular, cause I chose a very odd time to begin writing. What with Thanksgiving, final exams(wish me luck!!), Chirstmas and New Years just a few weeks away. So yeah, please comment and tell me how you think the story will be and whether you like Haneul's character or not.
