Hey there everyoen :) sorry this is going out so much later than usual, i think this update time is going to change because of my uni schedule. Don't worry it will still update today, but instead of early in the morning, i'll update later in the afternoon :D sorry to keep you guys waiting.

Everyone in the room remained silent. Even Taeyeon had little words for the current situation, she had never imagined that Yoona would figure out her identity, especially since she had never even met the girl as Taeyeon. “Was this some sort of elaborate prank?” Taeyeon wondered but what was most unsettling was the lack of presence from Seohyun. She had never once seen Yoona without her sister, so why did she come here alone? Taeyeon had a lot of questions, but at the very least, she was certain that Yoona had no intentions of revealing her true identity. It was obvious that Taeyeon would need to talk to her, alone and that would be the only way to truly get through to her. “Hyo, can you take Tiffany to the room please, I’ll meet you there in a second. Yoona, let’s step outside for a moment.” Taeyeon made her way to the door and ushered Yoona outside the apartment. She locked the door behind them and looked at the poor girl who stood in front of her, she looked like she hadn’t had any sleep for a few days straight. Her eyes were bloodshot and twitched uncontrollably, her skin was pale and lifeless and most of all, her breath was deep and frustrated. She wasn’t in the right mind, so even if Taeyeon wanted to train Yoona, this moment wasn’t the right time. “Yoona, Yoong, is it alright if I call you Yoong?” Taeyeon asked softly.

“Yeah…” Yoona sighed heavily.

“Yoong, I can tell your intentions are admirable and that deep down there is a part of you that honestly wants to help this city, but as you are, currently, you’re not fit to practice any magic. You need to go home, have some rest and we’ll talk about this another time.” Taeyeon patted her shoulder.

“Why does everyone treat me like a child? I thought of all people, you would be the one to understand my motivation Unnie.” Yoona stated.

“Did she just call me Unnie? … It’s cute.” Taeyeon thought.

“Look Yoong, it’s not because I don’t believe in your motivation or believe you’re too weak for this. I’ve seen you out there, striving for justice, but when I saw you out there I witnessed genuine passion in your eyes. A sparkle that longed to protect the weak and assist the misfortunate. But this, the way you are right now you’re merely flustered and desperate for power to resolve your problems. I know how you feel Yoong, your friends are in danger, many with their lives already at stake, but this desperation for power isn’t going to help anyone especially not yourself. I’ve seen how desperation for power corrupts even the best people Yoong. I’ve seen how the thirst for vengeance against the darkness can twist people into becoming it instead. Don’t let your thirst for strength, blind you from why you truly want to be a hero.” Taeyeon warned.

“I… I just don’t want to lose them Unnie… I’ve never had family aside from Seo. Not really any way… those bed ridden students are the only real family Seo and I have, the school is all that we have. I just want to keep them safe because I know they would do the same for me.” Yoona shed a tear thinking about her close friends currently in unresponsive conditions.

“You see them as your family, do you love them?” Taeyeon asked.

“Of course I do, I wouldn’t be here begging for you to teach me if I didn’t love my family,” Yoona replied.

“Then why did you leave Seo by herself? She’s the only real family you have left isn’t that right Yoong? Above all else, you need to keep her safe… don’t… don’t ever take your last family member for granted… trust me about that. If you want to do this Yoona, if you truly want to become strong enough to defend the city, you need her. I couldn’t do it on my own either, I had help from many close friends and family, so go get her and come back. You two are stronger together than apart.” Taeyeon patted Yoona’s back and looked longingly at her. Yoona remained silent and was finally able to acknowledge how selfish and stubborn she had been to her sister. Seohyun knew she wasn’t thinking straight and that’s why she didn’t agree to join Yoona in searching for Taeyeon. “Thank you so much, Taeyeon Unnie! I’m so sorry for barging in here.” Yoona was about to leave abruptly until Taeyeon gripped on to her wrist.

“Don’t be sorry, you and Seohyun are welcome here now. If you ever need some guidance from anything, just come over okay? I may not have all the answers, but my friend Sunny is always able to find the best solutions. She’ll really help you guys with school struggles.” Taeyeon smiled. She then released Yoona’s hand and let her be on her way. If King was going to build an army, Taeyeon was going to be prepared with her own army. But they won’t be filled with a random rag-tag group of mages, they’ll be filled with close friends and most importantly, family.

Taeyeon returned to her secret lair and joined with Tiffany and Hyoyeon who seemed had yet to begin any sort of training. “Hyo? What’s going on? Have you even given her the stone yet?” Taeyeon questioned.

“This room may be cool Tae, but this isn’t anywhere near big enough to effectively train a mage. We had the whole Grand Canyon, this tiny room won’t suffice to train Tiffany toward her King Conjure.” Hyoyeon responded.

“Whoa, King conjure? Is that what you have TaeTae?” Tiffany asked.

“Yeah, I guess the surprise is spoilt now thanks a lot, Hyo! But you’re right, this room is too small for the physical training.” And just like always, Sunny entered the room ready to give them another solution to their problem, but before she could speak Taeyeon hushed her.

“Wait! Let me guess, you have another secret lair that’s bigger and better than this one for us to use right? I’m surprised there was so much extr
