It’s a dream in a dream

One that we wish to erase altogether

He walked hurriedly to the practice room, fuming out in anger and true rage. Anyone can see that from his usual yet stoic face that harbored so many anger at the moment. It was as if he was ready to kill, ready to choke a life out of someone—which he had been thinking the rationality of doing that already.

The door was opened with Hanbin entering the room. He was not happy at all looking at his face with the sweats visible on his skin. His eyes are bloodshot red but not because of crying. He had been holding up the rage too much, too long that if he had exploded, bad consequences coming up the list. Not everyone was in the room, only Jinhwan, June, Bobby and of course Donghyuk; the person he was looking about.

Complete silence engulfed the room with each of the members’ heart pounding loudly in their chests, waiting what would happen between the two; Hanbin and Donghyuk as they stared on each other. The other 3 was on guard, in case something bad happened. When Hanbin made his way towards the younger Bobby had stood up from his chair. June following suit while Jinhwan was grasping tightly the head of Donghyuk’s chair; as if taking a hold of the boy himself to not let him go.

But Donghyuk stood up, making Jinhwan cursed. He shouldn’t be doing that. Not with those eyes that only had malice. How Jinhwan blamed himself for letting it be like this.

“You..” Hanbin muttered under his breath that was audible for them to hear. Bobby and June were still not moving from their spot but they were ready to grab each one of them away from one another in case a fist fight really happened.

“What did you do to Chanwoo?” The question came out from the leader and only by then he realized something he hadn’t seen before. Donghyuk’s eyes were red. He had been crying all these time. But that didn’t ease him a bit. Although he had a slight relieve and triumph that the other was guilty for his action.

“What did I do?” Donghyuk asked back, voice firmed yet small. It only made Hanbin’s blood boiled. Donghyuk didn’t hold back, he kept staring at the leader. It irked him up to see that.

“You kissed him!?!” And Hanbin finally pushed him away, making the younger bumped himself to the chair he sat just now. But he didn’t fall down, he regained his composure back with Jinhwan’s help. “How dare you do that when you know about us! About me and him!” Hanbin spat back with hurt and anger in his voice. Bobby and June were already on his side.

“Not just that you told Yang Sajangnim about it. Because of you he might be kick out of the group. Do you even realize what you have done?!” If it wasn’t because of the two holding him up, Hanbin would have lashed forward and landed a punch on Donghyuk’s face. “You destroy his dream!!”

“I can’t help it!” Finally the younger spoke up. A tear rolled down his cheeks. That view made Hanbin struggled less. The guilt on Donghyuk’s face made his heart clenched painfully. But not as painful as what future was ahead of him and Chanwoo.

“I love him.” There he said it. the words Hanbin hardly wanted to deny. The sentence he so much wanted to avoid, yet it happened. The thing he had been so afraid of happened finally, just right when it was all meant to be happy for them.

Hanbin knew that this all would happen. He already seen how different Donghyuk treated Chanwoo ever since the first day the boy came into their group but he dumped the idea to the former only wanted to make new friend and for Chanwoo to feel accepted in the group when some of them were against his entry. But then the treatment escalated into something more ‘troubling’ in his view when Donghyuk seemed to be willing to do anything for the maknae. His unusual soft spot to him, his overly giddy attitude around Chanwoo, how he tried to get his attention and all. But the leader once again thought on the bright side of it.

But what happened now he couldn’t help to think of the other. He couldn’t stop cursing himself inwardly at how stupid he was for not noticing the fire in Donghyuk’s eyes when he told the members that he liked Chanwoo and then they were dating in secret. He couldn’t take the meaning of Donghyuk sudden retreat from the joyful of them as 7 as he would hide himself in the practice room rehearsing moves which he already good at or lock himself up in his room doing whatever he was doing. He couldn’t see how dejected Donghyuk was to see Hanbin and Chanwoo sitting together in a room while holding hands or whispering sweet nothing to each other. He didn’t see it, and it all led to this.

It all led to Chanwoo crying himself out in their dorm with Yunhyeong persuading him at how he was not at fault for not noticing Donghyuk’s feelings and getting the other in the practice room trying to stop a raging Hanbin from killing the day out of .
