Real Man
Description
Park Jihoon may be always nursing a saccharine smile on his upturned lips, but the carefully crafted facade was meant to disguise the ache of his unrequited love for you.
When will she ever see me as a man?
-
"Hey Jihoonie!" You grinned, pinching his cheeks tightly. "Someone's a big boy today, it's his birthday-"
The stoic, expressionless look on your best friend's face made you freeze and you slowly released his cheek, his intense smouldering gaze fixed on you.
"W-what's wrong?" Your hand fell back to your side as you regarded him with concern and apprehension.
He continued staring back at you, his face devoid of even a trace of smile. And that was when you noticed how sharp his features were, the turn of his eyes, the defined jawline, how tall he was towering over you- something you were oblivious to since you had always seen him as a comrade since your childhood days, the Park Jihoon who made everyone coo and squeal over with his indomitable aegyo and eye smiles and winks, who was always armed with a smile for you.
He grabbed your wrist roughly, the one that was pinching his cheeks just now. "Everything." He said softly.
Foreword
"I'm serious."
Saerin scoffed. "You're never serious, Joo Haknyeon."
Haknyeon regarded her, his face not even harbouring a flicker of a smile.
"But I'm serious about you."

"Jinyoung? Why are you doing this to yourself?"
"I can't.... I can't give myself to you..." Jinyoung avoided Saerin's eyes.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm too scared... to let myself fall...."
