Seulgi watched queitly as her vital signs were checked, the monitor behind her beeping proving she was indeed - and unfortunately, - still alive. She gazed blankly as the doctor approached her, a small silver name plate shining on his chest above his white lab gown, the words "Dr. Kim Jongin" engraved on it. He gently placed two fingers on her wrist while his other hand was grasping onto a clipboard. After quickly jotting down his findings, right away he proceeded with the next step.

"You know, I've always wanted to do what you're doing." 

"Take vitals?" Jongin - as his name plate read - teased, softly laughing under his breath.

Seulgi shook her head. "Save lives." 

"Hm," Jongin looked up. "Your profile does say you went to med school. Aren't you already doing what you want to be doing then?"

"Not exactly."

"Why is that?"

"The whole medical thing didn't work out for me the way it did for you."

Jongin hummed in understanding, pocketing the pen he had in hand after finishing with the check up. "There must be something better in store for you then, Ms. Kang."

"Maybe." Her eyes met his. "For what it's worth, I owe you for saving me."

"I'm just doing my job." He pointed out. 

"You did a lot for me than just that, Dr. Kim." She read out loud, anxiously rubbing her hands together. "I wish I had a way to repay you."

"Hmm," Jongin smiled, humbly and kindly. "How 'bout starting with dinner, then?"
