It was almost Halloween and your brother and his friends from their band ‘Seventeen’ were coming to stay. You had to admit, you were very excited.

“Joshua!” You yelled excitedly and waved as you saw your brother and his twelve other band mates approach you.

“Hey Y/N!” Joshua yelled, returning your greeting. Once he was in front of you, he gave you a quick hug before stepping back so he could introduce you to his friends. “Guys, this is my sister, Y/N.” He introduced before gesturing to you. You waved and smiled at them and they did the same. “I’m sure you can all introduce yourselves.”

One of the guys who had short black hair stepped forward first and said “Hey, I’m Seungcheol. But just call me S.Coups or Coups.”

“I’m Jeonghan.” The guy with the amazing long hair, which was tied neatly in a ponytail, said.

“The name’s Jun.” Another said.

“I’m Soonyoung but you can just call me Hoshi.”

“The name’s Wonwoo.”

“Hello I’m Jihoon but these guys call me Woozi.” The shortest one with the light pink hair said. Just from looking at him, you called tell he was a smol bean.

“I’m Mingyu.”

“Hello! I’m Minghao.”

“I’m Boo Seungkwan!” The guy with the short chestnut hair said enthusiastically.

“I’m Vernon.”

“His name’s actually Hansol,” Joshua said from beside you before adding “He just likes to be called by his middle name because he thinks it’s cool.”

You rolled your eyes at your brother’s comment. Nevertheless, Vernon – or Hansol – continued “Or Hansol is just fine.” He mumbled pouting slightly.

“Hi,” One of the guys said. You could tell he was nervous “I’m Seokmin or just DK.” He introduced with a wide grin. There was something about his smile that made you warm inside; you smiled back at him causing his grin grow even bigger – which you didn’t think was possible.

Lastly, the guy with the somewhat spikey black hair stepped forward and said “You can call me Dino or Lee Chan,” he said before adding with a smirk “But you can also call me +82—” Joshua shot the youngest member a look while Coups slapped him lightly over the head.

“Is he always like that?” You asked whilst raising your eyebrow.

It was Jun who answered “Yeah unfortunately.” He said which caused you to laugh.

“So what do you guys want to do tomorrow then?” You enquired thinking out loud.

They all exchanged glances then Wonwoo said “Why don’t you decide.” Immediately, everyone saw Joshua shake his head. He knew exactly what you were going to say.

“Alright then,” You said with a wide, excited grin “Let’s go to a convention!” You said though probably louder than you should.

Joshua face palmed himself. Yep, he was 100% correct: a convention, of course! All of the guys started to talk amongst themselves as they discussed the following day’s events. “We should probably be heading back.” Joshua said all of a sudden before you got the chance to ramble on about all things nerdy.

You nodded your head in agreement and began to lead the way as no one –except Joshua – knew where you were going. On the way back to your apartment, you walked alongside Seungkwan, Woozi, Jeonghan and Coups.

“So Y/N,” Coups began “What do you do at one of these conventions?”

“Well,” You began with a light smirk “It’s a big event where loads of people come together and dress up, which is called cosplaying, as fictional characters from TV shows, books, movies, anime and manga and so on.” You explained as calmly as you could.

“Woahhhh,” Seungkwan said. You could tell he was starting to get excited “So are you going to ‘cosplay’?” He asked.

“Of course I am!” You said, your tone laced with sarcasm “I’m going as (Favourite Harry Potter Character) from Harry Potter.

“Do you have to dress up?” Wonwoo asked.

You shook your head “No, you don’t have to.”

“That’s good because we’ll probably not be able to get anything ready in time.” He said in a disappointed tone.

“I’m sure I have some spare from past cosplays I’ve done and Halloween.” You reassured “And besides, I’m sure I’ll be able to put something quick together for all of you,” You then swiftly added “It’s because I’m awesome!”

“Yeah, she likes to think that but she’s really not.” Joshua muttered from behind you.

“I HEARD THAT!” You exclaimed loudly which made everyone laugh.

The next day came and everyone was ready. Surprisingly, you managed to get everyone a cosplay: Wonwoo was going as Kingsman; Jeonghan was going as Harley Quinn; Dino was going as Little Kid; Woozi and Hoshi were going as each other; S.Coups and Mingyu were going as vampires; Seungkwan and Vernon were also going as each other; Jun was going as a pirate; Minghao was going as little prince; Joshua went as a pastor and DK borrowed your Harry Potter cosplay. You were happy that DK was also cosplaying as a character from the Harry Potter series, partially because he makes a good Harry Potter and plus, you actually have a slight crush on him…

“Oh look,” Dino began “Y/N and Seokmin are going as characters from the same thing!” He shouted causing everyone to look at you both.

“They’re couple cosplaying,” Vernon stated in a matter-of-factly manner. He then added “If that’s even what it’s called.”

You mentally slapped yourself. Jeez thanks Vernon – you thought to yourself. However, you didn’t realise the slight tint of blush to DK’s cheeks.

Wanting to change the subject as soon as possible, you then asked though you were almost shouting: “Is everyone ready?”

Once you had all gotten on a train to go to the convention, you took a seat next to Hoshi and Mingyu. Throughout the train journey, everyone was asking you questions about the convention:

“What sort of stalls do you think will be there?” Woozi asked.

“Apart from the places where you get food,” You answered “The stalls normally have themed merch from anime, comics, TV shows and the like.”

“Will there be any Michael Jackson stuff there?” Dino asked eagerly. You could tell that he was a massive M.J fan.

You nodded “Yeah probably.”

Throughout the train journey, you tried to talk to as many of your brother’s friends as possible, so much that you didn’t notice that DK’s eyes were always on you, admiring everything about you.

Not long afterwards, the train arrived at your stop and everyone got off. As you were drawing nearer the venue of the convention, you started to see people who were cosplaying. There were people dressed up as Sans and Papyrus from Undertale.; there was a couple cosplaying as Cecil and Carlos from Welcome to the Night Vale; Uta and Juuzou from Tokyo Ghoul and even Marco and Jean from Attack on Titan. When you saw the Marco cosplay you couldn’t help but burst out laughing and started to sing “Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be”.

“What are you laughing at?” You brother asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

Trying to contain your giggles, you eventually replied “Can you remember the anime Attack on Titan or Shingeki no Kyojin we watched ages ago?” You began and Joshua nodded “That person is cosplaying as Marco…” You trailed off; when Joshua found who you were talking about, he just shook his head at your immaturity.

Once you had arrived at the location, your eyes immediately landed on the very long ticket queue. You saw that the seventeen guys looked quite let down that this was how long you had to wait.

“This is the queue?” Minghao inquired.

You nodded “Though it takes about ten to fifteen minutes to get inside.”

They all looked at Joshua who nodded “Yeah, the lines go down really quick.” He said.

“Not bad.” Coups said with an approving expression.

When you all were making your way to the end of the queue, you were rather surprised that a few people recognised them as Seventeen despite their cosplays. The guys waved and blew kisses at their fans as you carried on joining the back of the queue. While you were passing the many people who were queuing, you heard several people muttering that yours and DK’s cosplays were cute. I mean come on, you weren’t complaining.

Once you neared the front, you handed the attendants your tickets, which they scanned before letting you enter.

As you waited for everyone else to get their tickets scanned, a guy around about your age came up to you. “Hey you’re supposed to be (Favourite Harry Potter Character), right?” He asked.

You nodded “Yes! I am!” You replied; the excitement of the convention starting to hit you.

“Can I take a photo with you?” He asked somewhat shyer.

“Yeah, of course you can!” You answered with a smile.

After he had took the photo, he said ‘thank you’ and was about to walk away when he suddenly changed his mind. “Hey um, do you want to walk around with me—”

“No she’s with me.” A male voice you instantly recognised said from behind you. You glanced to your side and saw DK.

“O-Oh okay…have fun with your boyfriend…” The guy awkwardly said but before you could correct him, he walked away.

You then turned to DK but before you could say anything, he swiftly interjected “What were you going to say to him?”

“No, of course. And besides, I don’t even know him; he just wanted a photo.” You clarified calmly, trying not to scream because DK was being protective of you.

“You ready?” Your brother asked coming to your side. You nodded and so did DK and you followed Joshua to where the rest of the group was. You tried to stay in one big group but smaller groups would always form when someone wanted to look at one thing and someone else wanted to look at another. Due to this, you often found yourself going along with Jun, Vernon, Mingyu, Hoshi or Woozi.

“Hey Joshua,” DK began “Can I talk to you for a moment.” He asked.

Joshua furrowed his eyebrows for a moment before agreeing. “Yeah, sure,” They then stepped away from the group but making sure that they weren’t too far away. “What did you want to talk about?” He asked in his usual, soft manner.

DK took a deep breath before saying “Okay—I like your sister, Y/N,” He admitted “And I don’t know what to do… I really like her…”

Joshua looked taken back but swiftly regained his posture and smiled at his friend “Tell her. I can see that she likes you too: I’ve known her long enough to tell when she likes someone.”

“Are you serious? You’re letting me?” DK said then added “And here I was thinking you wouldn’t let me because she’s your little sister.”

“If I would let anyone date her, I couldn’t think of anyone better than you or one of the other guys,” Joshua said, putting a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “She’s over there with Vernon at the moment.” He said while pointing to you. DK saw that you laughing at something Vernon had said to you. Yep, he loved you. He was absolutely positive of it.

DK took a deep breath before thanking Joshua and heading over to you. “Y/N. Can I talk to you for a moment? Alone.” He asked; you immediately knew that something was the matter. He seemed more nervous.

Slightly concerned, you glanced at Vernon who gave you saying he didn’t mind and agreed “Yeah, of course.” You answered and went with DK.

Once you both were out of the massive hall where the main convention was, DK stopped. It was quieter here since most of the people where in the main hall.

“Y/N.” DK started.

“Yes?” You said concerned, now really apprehensive that something was actually the matter.

“Okay. I’m just gonna say this.”

“Say what?”

“I like you Y/N.”

Your eyes widened. You definitely did not expect him to say that.

“I really, really like you.” He continued.

You sighed of relief “Jeez, you scared me DK, I thought something serious was happening,” DK chuckled nervously, still awaiting your reply. You smiled at him then answered “Well, it’s a good thing I like you too.” You confessed, the shyer side of you starting to show.

Now it was DK who sighed of relief. The next thing you knew was that he was engulfed you in a massive hug. “I love you.” He whispered into your ear.

“I love you too.” You replied, relaxing in his arms. Once you had broken apart from his embrace, DK planted a small kiss on your lips. As if on cue, a group of Harry Potter and (Your HP Character Cosplay) shippers walked past. They all commented on how cute the two of you were which made your cheeks turn bright red. You then turned to your boyfriend “But what about my brother…”

“He’s fine with it.” He interrupted before you could finish.

You sighed “That’s good; I thought he would be against it.”

“No, he’s cool with it,” DK said as he tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear. He chuckled before saying “So what did Hansol say it was called?”

“What’s what called?”

“Couple cosplaying?” He enquired and you giggled.

“Yeah, that’s what it’s called.” You answered with a smile.

“Shall we go back in there and show everyone how awesome our couple cosplay is?” He asked, holding his hand out for you.

You took his hand with yours and said “Yeah, lets.” And with that, the two of you re-entered the main convention to show of your cosplays.
