The desert doesn't forget.
Description
For Yebin, an archeologist who could barely keep her passion and wit to herself, it was the perfect honeymoon. The sand between her toes, her beautiful wife beside her, the pyramids in the background and tons, and I mean TONS, of ancient artifacts for her to uncover once she enters the newly found chamber of the late pharaoh Menkaure’s pyramid.
The same couldn’t be said for Minkyung, she didn’t like the sand, she didn’t care about the pyramids and, as much as she loved her wife, she was sure that the new chamber inside the pharaoh whatchamacallit’s pyramid would make Yebin spend more time inside that dusty old place than next to her in bed.
She was right, it doesn’t take more than a day for their honeymoon to become just another one of Yebin’s expeditions. But a weird string of events start occurring once a muscled, swarthy man who goes by the name of Seth shows up at their hotel doorstep at night. Events that will make Yebin doubt if her love for Minkyung is enough to save her from the impending doom that looms on the horizon.
Foreword
Out here with another short story. I’m guessing that the first two paragraphs led you, reader, to think that this was going to be a fluffy kind of story.
SIKE, NOT A CHANCE BRUH!
I still have to finish “Symptoms and stages”, but don’t worry, that one comes first, this will probably update in a couple of weeks. My main idea is to make this a two-shot, maybe three chapters if the story proves to be too long.
Nothing much to say other than I loved reading about different mythologies when I was younger, so I figured that I’d write something that involves one of my favorites ancient empires (and why not, one that involves my main bias wrecker Rena.)
Won't say anything else about the actual plot of the story, that will be for y'all to find out.
Sit tight, you are in for an unnerving ride.
