IT'S DARK INSIDE [flashback]
THANK YOU, I'M SO SORRY, LOVE YOU.When they had left the house, the weather had not been this bad.
Luhan sighed as he looked outside the window.
"Mom," Luhan looked at his mother who was driving slowly.
"Yeah?"
"I think we should've waited until the morning before going back home," Luhan said, "The weather is so bad."
Luhan's mother laughed but the boy caught the nervousness in her voice, "Don't worry," she said, "I am driving carefully."
"Do you miss dad that much?" Luhan laughed. By 'dad' he meant his stepfather. The man his mother had married after divorcing his real dad.
"It's been a week since I have seen him," his mother laughed and Luhan saw the light in her eyes.
When she had first told him about the divorce, Luhan had not been shocked. All that he and his real father did was argue.
He would break stuff. She would cry. They would shout at each other.
It was a nightmare.
Luhan hated it.
After a year from the divorce, she met his stepfather.
He had never seen his mother so happier.
Luhan liked his stepfather. He loved his mother. He took good care of her.
That was all that mattered.
That he took good care of her. That she was happy.
"You'll see him soon," Luhan nodded and looked outside the window.
"Yes," she sighed, "We will."
"You love him, don't you?" Luhan suddenly asked.
"What do you mean?" his mother was shocked, "Of course I do."
"I know."
"You know, Luhan, when you will fall in love, everything will make sense," she smiled.
Luhan looked at the silhouettes of the trees outside the car window. The night was dark and windy. A scary night.
"Mom?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you be dissapointed if I tell you something strange."
"Depends how strange it is," she laughed.
"I don't think I can fall in love with a girl," Luhan blurted it out. He had felt this way for quite a long time.
It felt as if finally speaking out the truth, lifted a heavy weight from his chest.
"What do you mean?" she asked confused.
"I mean...I am not attracted to women," Luhan said hiding his face away.
"You mean..."
"Yes, that's exactly what I mean," Luhan said.
"Well...I'm happy that you told me," she said and Luhan took a deep breath of relief, "You can be whoever you want to be Luhan, you can love whoever you..."
Suddenly the car came to a stop with a jerk and it took about twenty seconds for Luhan to come back to his sense after banging his head on the dashboard.
"Mom!"
"Luhan, are you okay?"
"Yes, yes," Luhan frantically took off his seat belt and hugged his mother.
"The car," she said, "It just came out of nothing, I..."
Only then Luhan realized what had happened. A car was standing in front of theirs.
"I think it's because of the weather," his mother said, "We have to make sure they're okay."
At that time, Luhan should have listened to his gut feeling and stopped his mother.
Luhan's mother unlocked the car and got out
