“What is this, Hwang Miyoung?!” a certain short haired blonde shouted at Tiffany who seems drowning herself with mixed cocktails and beers in the club where the Tiffany – player started.

Drink after drink. Shots after shots, Tiffany has only one thing on her mind. One girl, rather.

Jessica.

She doesn’t even know when it started - when the player Miyoung converted to a hopeless romantic highschooler type person.

She just knows that whenever the girl is near, she loses all her senses with the surroundings and just focus with her.

Denial is always the first stage.

She made herself believe that Jessica is just one of them and should be one of them. The girl should not make her heart flutter and give her butterflies. But, what happened was otherwise.

“Sunny, is this what they call love?” Tiffany said as she look up to see her long time best friend/ wing-girl, Sunny.

Sunny did not know what to say, to react. This is Tiffany blurting things that she isn’t accustomed of. It’s making her cringe.

The moment Tiffany called her a while ago was really surprising for her since it has been years since Tiffany called her to go out for a drink. It is as same as inviting her to be her wing-girl for the night. But heck, she did not expect finding Tiffany in this state.

“Miyoung, what are you saying? And are you planning to get alcohol poisoning?!” the short haired blonde girl said as she took the seat adjacent to Tiffany. Fortunately, this is not one of the bars that has full blast music. It’s a classy one where you can rent a place or spot just for you. So they can discuss this random nonsense this brunette is blurting.

Tiffany sighed and massage her temples. She doesn’t know where to start the story of her being hopelessly in love with someone who is in a relationship.

“I did not know what happened. When it happened. I just know that whenever she’s near, I am happy. I have been not hitting someone since two years. And when I saw her for the first time, it felt like ‘I have to know her’ rather than ‘I want to hit this girl’. - “

“It is supposedly just hitting on her – not falling in love with her. Because you know that’s not my thing. I have convinced myself that it will never be my thing. –“

“But then I see her every day. Talk to her, eat with her, laugh with her every single day. - “

“And I don’t want to end that. I just want to be with her. Hold her hands. Kiss her. But, a while ago I’ve found out that she’s in a relationship. And she swings that way too! Should I be happy or not? So stupid of me” she left a sad chuckle as tears continuously falling down her face. This was her first time telling her thoughts about this Jung to someone.

On the other hand, her best friend was really shocked. Hwang Miyoung IS. IN. LOVE. That was information overload for her. Who would have known, right? This player is being love sick!

“Fany, you are in love.” Sunny said as she took her best friend’s hand. “Who are you and what did you do to Tiffany?” she added on a serious tone and that earned her a glare and pinch from Tiffany.

Soon, the two best friends laughed it off and started drinking again. This would probably another night to remember for both of them. This will be a long night.

Meanwhile, Yoona and Jessica is currently in their favorite spot near the Han River. Both girls are quietly walking while their fingers are intertwined. They just finished dinner and they decided to go for a walk.

It’s awkwardly quiet. Jessica is deep in her thoughts on whether it’s the right time to tell Yoona what happened between her and Yuri. On the other hand, Yoona is afraid to ask her Unnie and Kwon Yuri’s status.

“Let’s sit here, unnie! I know you’re tired.” Yoona said as she walk towards the bench.

Silence filled them again as they sit. A moment passed and both are just staring somewhere.

“Unnie, I want you to be honest with me.” Yoona said without glancing at Jessica.

Jessica felt nervous. She knows Yoona will ask her about Yuri.

“Are you still with Kwon Yuri?”

And Jessica was right. There’s no escape from this now. She have to tell Yoona. Carefully, the younger of the two look at Jessica with a blank expression. Waiting for her unnie to say something, Yonna hold Jessica’s hand this time.

“It’s okay, unnie. You don’t need to hide it from me. I just want you to share your pain with me and let you recover from this.”

And that breaks Jessica. Tears began streaming down her cheeks and she have been sobbing uncontrollably the moment Yoona wrapped her in an embrace.

What the hell was she thinking not telling Yoona what happened? She let the pain eats her inside. She let herself die and did not want anyone to know because she thinks it is just a burden for them. Even Krystal doesn’t know where Yuri is. She don’t want anyone to hate Kwon Yuri because she’s hurting more when someone does that.

Jessica thinks that whether she like it or not, Yuri will always be a part of her. Yuri will always be her The One That Got Away.

It was past noon when Tiffany got up from her bed. Her head feels like they have been hammered a thousand times and her stomach feels sick. She just drank last night a two-year worth of alcohol and she’s just lucky she’s still alive right now. She doesn’t even remember how she got home.

Sunny. she thought as she look for her phone and call this midget. It just took a few rings before Sunny picked up.

“Ohh~ Good morning, Miyoung! I’m glad that my hopeless romantic bestfriend is still alive!” Sunny said energetically.

“How come you’re not hammered?! How did I go home? Where are you?”

“Uhh, I was not the one whose being love drunk last night. Plus, you owe me! I’ll be back in a few. I just brought us lunch.”

Tiffany stood up and went downstairs looking for a water to cure this hangover. She felt her phone vibrated again and thought it was just Sunny texting her what she wants to eat. But she was wrong. Her eyes shot open when she saw the notification from Jessica.

Hey, sunbae Tiff! Sorry about last night. I just want to tell you I had a great time yesterday with you. Thank you! ~~

The message came pretty platonic but this gives Tiffany some energy. She’s literally smiling like a fool right now upon reading Jessica’s text. She’s been imagining a Jessi that is pouting while saying sorry. Little that she know, Sunny’s already back in her apartment and just staring at her that moment.

“Wow, I guess I should not have bought an aspirin for your hangover. Just a text from your Jessica is enough to cure that.”

Even though it was annoying, Sunny was right. Tiffany just needed that. Tiffany just needed Jessica.

“So, are you ready for the Operation JETI?”

“What? JETI? What is that your nonsense you’re saying?” Tiffany said as she was dumbfounded with what Sunny have said.

“JETI. Jessica and Tiffany. What else? You were shouting that last night! Let’s make this happen it’s not that everyday that this Hwang Miyoung falls in love and act like a teenager.” Sunny teases Tiffany and the brunette just shrugged it off.

“Sunny, she is in a relationship. How can I possibly do that? I’ll just have to wait for my turn I guess.” Tiffany counters as Jessica is in a relationship and she respects that.

“Aigoo, are you sure about that? You just heard it. You did not saw it yourself!”

That may or may not give a slight hope for Tiffany. Besides, Sunny was right. She just heard Yoona talking about it but she never saw Jessica with someone really.

“But, I –“

“No buts, Miyoungiee. I’ll have my ways to know that. So here’s the plan, you just act normally that you do and me, finding out if she’s dating anyone. Understand?”

“But, I-“

“Okay, good!” Sunny said ignoring her best friend.

“Thanks, Lee Sunkyu.” Tiffany sheepishly smiled at her. She’s really thankful that she got Sunny with this whole Jessica thing.

“Okay, that’s it. Go on your own. I’m backing out. Stop calling me that!”
