Description
What will you do if your job is decided for you? You can't fulfill your dream because you got chosen for something different. Everyone gets formed into the perfect citizen to reach the perfect society. You follow the rules or there will be consequences. What will you do?
On Mato Planet the military rules. If you aren't useful to the well being of the society you will be educated, changed. If you have a dream that doesn't match with your use, pity, you won't be able to chase your dreams.
Yongguk learns early that there is something wrong with the society and struggles to find his place.
Foreword
So...
I wrote a short story to get part of my ideas out of the system. It was just a brainless, fluffy story, just to get started and post something for the first time. But then it escalated. It escalated massively. I started to add background stories to the characters. Now this short story is three chapters long with lots of lose ends and it's a total mess. You can read it here, if you want.
As said, I thought up a whole background story for some of the characters and I ended up here. Now I present to you the prequel. The story of how Bang Yongguk ended up where he is in "Searching for a Family". It can be read as a stand alone fanfic.
As usual, I only own the story, all real names etc. are used fictiously. Any similarities to other fanfics are coincidental. Please do not plagiarise.
