Summary :  After the 4th prince killed Chang Ryung, he forbids her to leave him and she hates him even more (I didn't like that she wrote him a love letter, so yeah, hence my idea came from there).

"You killed Chang Ryung, you Monster!" exclaimed Hae Soo.

"She was the 9th prince's spy, she kept on your side to spy on us."

"I hate you, you cold-blooded murderer!" Soo told him with more venom and started crying.

"Are you going to take her side rather than mine?" asked the King.

"Yes, and I wish you didn't put me in my golden cage."

"Your golden cage?"

"Yes, the palace is my golden cage, in which you put me, Your Majesty."

"I forbid you to ever leave me, even though you may hate me."

"How can you?"

Just then, astronomer Ji Mong asked to see his Majesty :

"Your Majesty, the 8th prince wishes to see you."

"About what?" asked he.

"It's something about Hae Soo."

The King went into the throne room, curious about the 10th prince.

"Wook, what is it?" asked his Majesty.

"There's something you're unaware of, your Majesty, Hae Soo and I have promised to marry one another."

"Do you wish to die?" asked his King.

"Hae Soo wants it." simply answered Wook.

"She already hates me, and told me I put her in her golden cage, and you wish to free her from it?"

"Yes I do, your Majesty."

The King laughed an evil laugh and left the throne room without even looking at his 8th brother. In a corridor, he saw her still kneeling, and proceeded to ask her :

"Is it true that you love Wook and planned on marrying him?"

"Yes, your Majesty." answered merely Soo.

"I absolutely forbid it, you must endure your golden cage, even though you hate me."

"Please, your Majesty, set me free, you promised me that you would."

"Things have changed now, you're the only one that I love."

"But I hate you, please set me free."

"You can't ever leave me, Soo and above all people, you can't marry Wook, that'll be your punishment for hurting me so."

"Why are you doing this to me? You know I don't love you anymore."

"Because I love you and only you."

"Quit being stubborn, Your Majesty. I already said you put me in my golden cage, so please free me from it." This time, Soo got even lower on her knees to beg him.

"Get up, and I cannot. You'll have to stay by my side and endure it, and you can never be with the one you love because you're mine."

"Is that really love or your obsession with me, Your Majesty?"

"What?"

"I'll endure it." muttered she.

Wook's proposal for her hand in marriage had been void, as the King strictly forbade them to marry one another and orderded her to stay in the palace with him. So she did, until the day she died, her hate for him growing every day. The King's jealousy for Wook grew too, daily because he knew she was thinking about another in her heart, except he didn't know whether it was jealousy or hurt, seeing her hating him even more every day.
