He acted like he was a big brother of hers. He adored her simply because he didn't have a sister. Being a best friend with the little girl's actual brother he treated her like his own  sister. Never he knew that the little girl had harbored a feeling for him. 

She knew that he will never be hers. He always told her that his dream girl must possessed all the stated traits; demure, feminine, elegant and none of it were even  close to her. She was rather boyish type of girl who always ranting, shouting and well can be said a spoilt little brat.
