JUNO : A BTS Military Story
It was that time of year again, where the air grew cold and bit the cheeks of the young soldiers training out in the open field near the nation’s border. The sun was hidden by the clouds, though its light still shone, creating an intriguing transparency. The sweating soldiers, who were doing pushups, stopped to gaze up at the sky. Who knows what they saw -- some were more religious than others while others simply saw the beauty in the silver lining. Whatever it was, they were given peace in the midst of their intensive training.
Their supervisor was a pretty girl with bobbed hair, none other than Lieutenant Jeon Ara. She too was in a trance before she blinked, waking up from her temporary daydream. “Did I take you out here to gaze at the clouds like lovesick birds? Get to it!” she ordered.
“Yes, Lieutenant Jeon!” the young soldiers shouted in response, jumping with fright as they set to work once more. No one dared to make even the slightest of sounds, as everyone knew the lieutenant’s relentless reputation. She was such a cordial girl away from the battlefield, but the moment the military was mentioned, she turned into what soldiers called the “rose venom” -- she was pretty, but if one got carelessly close, they would feel the wrath of her thorns.
She smirked. “Alright, that’s enough,” she said. “Go hit the showers and get something to eat. You’ve worked hard today.”
“We will take our leave!” the soldiers said before running off.
The lieutenant made her way back to the headquarters, where she saw officers running around with their usual daily errands. She strolled her way through the lobby, occasionally greeting the officers passing by. Most would be friendly as usual, something she had grown used to, as she had spent most of her life there.
She walked into an empty elevator. Just as the doors were about to close, she held the door open for none other than her own twin brother, Jungkook.
He was a built man with a broad chest and muscles that carved his body. Though he was significantly taller than Ara and looked a bit older, she could still see past the mischief in his smile.
